Ok. So I had the car running. Changed out valve cover gaskets intake gaskets and distributor oring. Got it all back together and the battery went bad. Went got another batt and all I get is a click and no crank. I'm going to clean all the grounds in the morning. There are two grounds I'm trying to f...

Re: a few questions while I'm working on the fiero

I hooked it back up for now. Found busted connector on my temp sending unit. That may be the reason the temp gauge was pegging out. Almost ready to start her up. A few pig tails to replace and bleed brakes and the clutch. Hopefully that will go smoothly. Found a couple of wires under dash on passeng...

Re: some things that need to be fixed before I try driving h

Well while I was looking it over after getting middle and upper plenum off I found the temp sending unit for the gauge busted. Both the wiring harness plug and the sending unit are broke. So trying to find everything local before I order online.

Re: a few questions while I'm working on the fiero

Yes ment to say that. Changing the distributor shaft oring also. yeah I am looking at them now. Don't see any cracks in them but the soft boots they plug into are deteriorated. About to see what I can order them for. I'm thinking about doing away with the egr system. Pros or cons for doing this on t...

a few questions while I'm working on the fiero

Ok I got the upper and middle plenum off and replacing valve cover gaskets. I'm going to replace the injector orings while I have it apart. Also doing the plugs and wires since I have no idea how long they have been in the car. What plugs do you guys run in the v6? I'm partial to ngk but if there is...

Re: some things that need to be fixed before I try driving h

Thank you sir. I've been googling for the past few days. I did find a article on the fix for the temp gauge. So from the factory these cars had temp gauges pegging? You would think that gm would have fixed a issue like that with a recall. I figured out the pegged oil pressure gauge. My fuel pump was...

Re: new guy 1st fiero

Whooo. Had one mess of a day. Got her to the house and the gray coil plug is the one the shop broke off. they said they could not find another at parts place. I rigged my own spades and plugged them in and she started up. I didn't drive it. The rear alignment is all out of whack from the clutch chan...

new guy 1st fiero

Well I come across odd stuff from time to time. Today got a call from a guy needing some work done on his car hauler. I go quote him a price and he sets a time up to drop the trailer off at my place. He had a 86 fiero gt sitting in the back yard. I asked him about it and he has had it for 10 years a...
