Real Fiero Tech

so, SRT-4 transaxles around here are going for over a thousand dollars. Anyone know where to get one for a third of that? What's the going rate on the NSX gearbox? Thanks!

I am wanting the following: 1) real Fiero 15x7 wheels 2) GT or '88 Formula nose 3) GT "fastback" thing 4) real Fiero getrag. I'm not up for converting FWD getrag using Rodney Dickman's excellent parts. 5) the "code mask" (calibration) for a 91-93 DOHC V6 with manual trans I think...

Location is northern Utah, city of Logan. Mileage is unknown. I'm not up for the conversion, even with Rodney Dickman's excellent parts.

wow, I missed alot being sick all week and working 45 hours anyway. As a machinist, my experience is inside the engines when they are disassembled. With a Getrag, and 26"-dia. tires, rpm at 65 mph will be approx. 2200. So, I know how to get a Camaro with a 350 to get 25 mpg hwy geared like that...

Any chance of you finding the right map for your compressor and uploading it? IF I go turbo, I'm settled on a T66 if I go for a full build, see map at innovativeturbo.com, or the t4e60 if pure stock, or if 3800-2, also at innovative. Thanks Aaron

I had this problem last year. Luckily, I knew mine came from Checker or Auto Zone, so I bought another set. But those look like Gorilla or something. -Atilla

Hey guys, could one of you try putting your turbo dodge in a Fiero? Then we'd compare it to the 260-HP Ecotec. Is the dodge trans any stronger than the Getrag? I bet the Mitsu Evo IX (9) if it weren't so unobtainable. -Atilla

Aaron, are you thinking the non-supercharged 3800-2 can get to 260? How? I already have the Paxton (used). If I'm not mistaken, you have a DOHC Fiero, right? Thank you for the input! -Atilla

I'd agree with your points as valid, If unlike me you don't have frequent issues with getting a tankful of bad gas. But thanks for your response!

Might be a good deal, but those within distance of any Pick-n-Pull can get one for $75, when you find one. I always find a few FWD Getrags. I might've jumped on this sooner had you specified the first, fourth and final ratios. -Atilla
