Re: Aluminum suspension tubes-- 88 Rear Suspension with Rod

I did not know he sold them. I have his lateral link relocation kit and 13" rotors. I'll have to ask him for a set of links when he has time. My car is in storage for winter anyway.

Re: Aluminum suspension tubes-- 88 Rear Suspension with Rod

I have wanted to do this mod to my car but haven't been able to pull the trigger as I feel I need to do more research. Not only that, but I am to the point now where I have the money to just have someone provide the parts for me and I just bolt on instead of sourcing my own parts Me also! Anyone wa...

Re: My $500 BMW

Its the wifes car now. She has almost 2000 miles on it since the repair. I just picked up a 2004 530i (E60) for a good deal for myself!

Re: My $500 BMW

It is an interference engine but somehow there are no bent valves. Must have broken at idle or something. A used head was cheaper than new cam's from BMW.

My $500 BMW

I picked this up for $500. The previous owner did not want to put the money into it to fix it, I offered $500 and he took it. It's an 04 X5, V8 4.4, cold weather package, premium package, navigation, rear seat entertainment. Has new tires and alternator in the last 500 miles. I don't know what he ad...

Re: Auto'Biography

I think it was the guy I got my swap from who was claiming 40mpg. I'm averaging about 20mpg with mine. I have not taken it on a highway trip yet but I don't know how much better it will get. I'm going to have Ryan tune my swap in the spring, going to take the car to him for a live tune. It runs real...

Re: Auto'Biography

I'm interested to see what difference the intercooler setup will make on my 2.0 swap. The new turbo made a huge difference. I plan on getting it tuned once the intercooler is installed.

I'm still pissed off about that. I live 10 min from the track and was going to register but was in Chicago for training for work and forgot all about it. Damn it.

If someone wants it I'm willing to make them a good deal. I really want to sell this thing and get rid of the car payment for a while.

2001 BMW 525i For Sale.

I'm selling my 2001 BMW 525i. It is white with tan interior. Has a 2.5L inline 6 cylinder engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. Car has 168K miles on it, I purchased it from a guy who traveled for work so most the miles are highway. It has power windows, locks, keyless entry, power sunroof, 6 di...

To get this back on track I'm in the process of getting exhaust manifold flanges made. I have a friend who works at a shop that is able to make them and he is in the process of getting them made right now. I should have a set done within the next 2 weeks and could probably get more done if these com...

STE's came out in '83 or '84 as FWD. AWD's were only 88 (128 made), 89 (~1300 made) and 90 (unknown prod #'s). The '90 cars weren't even STE's. They were SE's and didn't have all the electronic gadgets that the STE's had. My car is a '90. And I'm still jealous. I wish I could find one of those cars...

No offense, but that sounds like Aaron's claim of setting DOHC cam timing in 15 minutes.
I can and have before. Comes from replacing all the isuzu transmissions I've replaced. :thumbleft:
