Re: The SERIOUS Wheel & Tire Thread
Now running 315/30/18 rear and 265/35/18 fronts on my 88. The tires are Nankang CR-S (200tw). The wheels are Apex SM-10 18x9.5 ET35 and 18x11 ET35. I'm running a small (3 or 5mm) spacer in the rear to clear the trailing link, which is lowered by 45mm at the upright compared to the stock. Otherwise ...

Re: Staggered tire fitment.
If you could theoretically get to a 50/50 weight distribution, would you be able to run a square setup? Or should there always be a stagger given the mid engine layout? I think that this concept of sizing tires according to weight distribution is unrelated to the position of the engine in the car. ...

Re: The Mule rides again (sort of) - pics.
Also, quite a few years ago I installed the fuel feed and return lines and canister vent line from an '85-'86 Iron Duck, which come up the left side of the engine bay. The V6 canister vent line also comes up the left side of the engine bay, but the two vent lines are different at the tank ends. The ...

This will be a sub-topic covering ongoing development of my firewall stiffening plate Probably the first time The Mule's pedal box had been out since it left the factory. https://i.imgur.com/vXuhZQf.jpg Get that trash out of the way... It's hard to believe, that I have been making progress... Euro-market "everything delete" manifolds are modified for the heater connection difference, resurfaced, wire brushed, Cerakoted and INSTALLED. Will do a big write up once complete, but currently digging out all the bits and bobs that have been stashed for months and figuring out how to re...

Re: progress on the banshee...
If any EFI system of the last 25 years is working correctly, you'll never need to crank for 30 seconds. Mine wasn't working correctly. But in the diagnosing trying to figure out what was wrong, the battery took a shit. Turned out to be a broken solder joint at the crank sensor. It didn't happen in ...

Re: Group buy: Front Lower Spherical Bearing Shells
I took my car (with the spherical bearing shells) for a quick spin yesterday, and the ride quality was fine (by my standard anyway; I suppose that this is subjective). One might think that metal-on-metal would be rough, but there is still the main spring and shock working. I intentionally drove ove...

Re: Daily RX8 with LFX?, lol
I drove some special edition but otherwise stock MT RX8 once and it was an absolute blast. Punches way way way above it's pay grade. Probably one of the best car chassis ever made. Just needs a good reliable engine with at least 300hp. An LFX/LGX swap would be awesome. I've driven a lightly modded ...

Does it keep the Mazda transmission or switch to the AY6? Does Mazda already use the AY6 transmission?

Re: The Mule rides again (sort of) - pics.
I'm super curious about how your firewall panel will look, and how it will perform. I have an idea in my head to reinforce that area as well, but it's much different than a panel, I also haven't even started working on the design though. If you've taken the pedal box out, you know what a sucky job ...

Re: The Mule rides again (sort of) - pics.
I was thinking about this earlier (I have more important things to do, but I was ignoring them...) I thought the F40 didn't have a VSS? or was that just certain F40's? The G6 F40's have VSS that read the ring gear teeth. There's no separate reluctor. F40's from (most?) other platforms do not have V...
