Re: 3800SC Series II Question

So it snowed today and I figured I'd pull out my bag of goodies and start some work until I get access to my motor tomorrow. So far, here is what I've got. And I'm lost. This is all the wiring that came with the motor, but I have absolutely no clue what is "garbage" and what is vital to ke...

Re: 3800SC Series II Question

Couple of things I see I would do before using this engine... 1) Replace the oil pan with an undamaged unit. You should pull it anyway and perform the oil leak repair on it as spelled out on the oil pan leak TSB put out by GM (requires sealing the oil pan to the gasket using RTV sealant; and you wi...

Well, I need at least one for sure. The other two could probably

stand to be replaced. The fun money is kind of low at the moment

after buying the motor. How much you want for them?

Re: 3800SC Series II Question

Thanks for the info Sinister. So I want to re-pin the motor for 98 and up, but I don't have wiring diagrams. How can I go about getting them? And I bought the motor today. Engine being pulled off of my friend Mike's truck. http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o445/leppy89/0123091358.jpg I don't know w...

Re: 3800SC Series II Question

Went and looked at the engine today, and I think I'm buying it.

He has the computer and harness, has all the diagrams ready

for the swap, and has it waiting for me to come pick it up.

Hopefully I'll get it and start cleaning it and begin dreaming.

3800SC Series II Question

I have a shot at 3800SC Series II. Here is the info: 1996 Buick Riviera 60,XXX miles ( supposedly ) Has all equipment; also computer and wiring harness Asking $350 OBO From this info, and assuming the engine is good, is this a good deal? It seems to be a decent deal, but it was brought to my attenti...

 It is either I'm way off, or you are. I measured mine, and I got 4 and 1/2. Maybe I'll go recheck tomorrow...

Either that or the rubber is so bad its flexing an extra half inch haha.

Chuck Norris eats beef jerky and poops gunpowder. He then uses the gunpowder to make more bullets, which he then uses to kill cows to make more beef jerky. They call this, the circle of life.

Woo hoo! That was an absolute blast! I never really appreciated speed until I could experience it first hand. I had a bunch of drunk hillbillies telling me what I needed to do haha. But, to their credit, they did me good. So, don't laugh, never done this before, and its a stock Fiero, so no impressi...

I kinda like it, makes the posts easy to read...kind of like double-spaced papers ya know? Thats exactly why I like doing it. I hate it when someone types a LOT and it all just gets cluttered up and I'm constantly losing my place. Makes it look neater. And I love double spaced papers. Haha, great w...

I have a silver hood in my garage, if you were closer I would just give it to you. I'm sure you can find someone in Ohio that has a hood you can buy for cheap or free. Well thank you for at least the thought. I do have new parts, I bought them from a local Fiero nut. Got the hood, front bumper, qua...

I had a 95 SL1 and I loved it! Best car ever. Drove the ever living crap out of it for a year and a half, and I had to replace nothing. Not a thing went wrong with it until a lady plowed me at 40 in the rear while I was stopped. Great car for the money. Just all the rattling plastic panels on the in...

Well, I'm glad that other people do agree with me on the bullshit of the insurance company's call on this one. I tried arguing it, but I basically got jerked around because I'm a kid. I've wanted to switch companies for a little while, but I'm under my parents insurance, and I can't quite afford to ...
