Re: Fiero with no trunk light

I recently pulled one of those gray blank plates from a Fiero in a salvage yard, so I could delete my trunk light. The clear plastic lens gets brittle with age, which results in the mounting tab snapping off, so your trunk light ends up hanging loose. And that's an electrical short waiting to happen.

Re: Rodney's Getrag Aluminum Slave Cylinder

I installed one of Rodney's Getrag slave cylinders on a customer's car a couple weeks ago. It is a very good product. The outer surface is smoother than one would expect from a cast part. And the mounting flanges are precisely machined. Overall, it looks very "clean". It was also very easy...

Re: Hey turbofag joined the ranks

Shaun may not know what V8Archie looks like from the back. According to the location tag in Shaun's posts (which says he's "in front of V8Archie's junk"), V8Archie is the one in back. But I guess the view is the same no matter who is behind him.

Re: Hey turbofag joined the ranks

Yeah, because Shaun & Co don't mind rubbing elbows with the scum of society, as long as it helps them with their moronic quest. Trust me, I understand that completely. I personally think that if you're willing to support a criminal in order to get a jab at another website, it says a lot about yo...

Re: Hey turbofag joined the ranks

Yeah, but when Shaun & crew supported a child molester, they were doing it for a good cause! Or at least, that's what they want to believe. :unknown:

It makes no sense to me. IMO, a child molester is scum, period. But then again, I didn't grow up in a ghetto.

Re: Airbox help?

I find it odd that you would spend all that time and money on the ITB setup, just to cheap out on the plenums. It makes no sense. BTW, I also agree that you should work out your intake horn height before building the air box. The height of the horns will dictate the design of the air box. That said,...

Re: The Stig or Chuck Norris?

Chuck Norris will roundhouse-kick the Stig right off the track. Actually, he'll just roundhouse-kick the whole freaking track into a lake. Then the Stig can practice his swimming.

What's more gay than naming your car after a comic book character? Naming YOURSELF after one! :P

Re: New Pontiac G3 for $9400!!

We'll get to "enjoy" a lot more of that behavior after America becomes a police state. We're moving, slowly but surely, in that direction. On a side note, if your mom knew how much of her tax money went into that car, she might not call it a "steal"... well, at least not in the s...

I have a build thread on AR15.com ( LINK )

I wish Magpul made MOE handguards in the mid-length size. That would've saved me a lot of work. Oh well... :pardon:

Re: A bit of home "gunsmithing"

Cool. 8) I did a little bit of "gunsmithing" on my AR-15, as well. I made some fiberglass handguards, with an "old school" look. See photos below. http://www.tweaktech.com/rifle/ar15_01.jpg http://www.tweaktech.com/rifle/ar15_02.jpg I like them better than the stock "corn co...

Re: Northstar 180* headers.

In a way, it's impressive, but in a way, it's shameful. Caddys are supposed to be eloquent. 32 valve V8s are supposed to be smooth. That sounds more like a dirt-track 350 Chevy than a modern Cobra or a BMW or a Ferrari. Still, it's good that it's running. On with the tuning. No engine with an open ...

Re: Rocker Arms

The Comp Cams valve springs part # CCA-980-12 are good for 0.500" of lift, and don't require any mods to install.
