Those look nice -- I wonder if they sell just the housing? I could probably get the turbo for less somewhere else.

How will it compare to a 4-1 collector? Does one have an advantage over the other in terms of performance? The 2-1 will be easier to weld up, but I can do either.

Turbo Collector

I'm trying to decide between making a 4-1 merge collector similar to my old header, or if I should make two 2-1 collectors as if I was making the header for a twin-scroll turbine housing. It would be easier to weld, and I would like a twin-scroll housing (but I don't think one is made for the GT30R ...

Haha yeah, I did. Sorry it was late, I was studying for my 8am final and just never went to sleep. I was taking a break and found my old picture http://Old Europe.hostkansas.com/pffimages/DSCN0299.JPG --I thought it was crazy cool looking, that's really the only reason I wanted to do it :la: Anyway,...

How do you *really* determine an intercooler's limits?

I'm wondering this because, well, I'm interested in going back to an air/air setup on my Fiero (*gasp*) -- I want to get rid of my water/air intercooler because the endtank setup isn't going to work well with my new turbo placement. I was going over some options when I found some pictures of my old ...

Hey -- I might be interested in the Clutch setup if it would fit my Q4 transmission (the getrag 282). I don't like how my Q4 slave and Fiero MC play together, and something like this might be an alternative.

I don't like house because of the sarcasm/humor, mainly because it's a little more suspenseful. I have always liked reading like the medical thriller novels and what-not, so I like watcihng them try and figure out what the patient has. Okay, I'm a nerd :bootyshake: Leave me alone! ha :afrocool:

Yeah he is kind of an asshole, but at least he's funny. One of my good friends wouldn't watch it because she didn't like House, but once she watched a few episodes she got hooked. Besides, he's not usually terribly insulting -- mainly becuase he's usually right when he makes assumptions like those.

Cutty wouldn't let them autopsy the cop because they were worried about the disease being infectious, so House tried to infect his rat so that he could do an autopsy on the rat. Anyway, the rat didn't get sick so House went back to the house to see what the other doctors might have missed, and Forem...

Anybody watch "House?"

Excellent show! I've been following it for awhile now. It comes on FOX Tuesdays at 9, but tonight and last night was a 2 night special. I'm in the middle of the second episode right now. Anyone else watch it?

*edit* -- The thread you posted in the first page? I'm checking it out now. I have a GT, though, so that may make a difference.

Bump up plus: how realistic am I in wanting to make my street-driven Fiero 2400-2500lbs? Lighter wheels, lighter suspension stuff (mimick slalom suspension), CF decklid/hood, lexan rear window, fiberglass trunk, no spare or jack or washer fluid, short front bumper (possible trimming of heavy metal b...

The numbers that the cheaper one put up are just the Spearco numbers. They are "examples of data" -- I highly doubt they actually took any measurements. Even so, I don't think there could be much difference between a Spearco core and a knock-off core. The only thing I can think of is that ...

Air-Water Intercoolers

How much of a difference will there be in terms of pressure drop and cooling with a possibly cheaper core as opposed to a nicer Spearco core? Mine ^^That's an example of mine. It was probably bought from the same guy, who had custom endtanks made to work on a bunch of generators. Anyway, I don't rea...

I was kind of envisioning a 6 point cage -- basically a roll bar behind the seats with 2 bars going back through the window to the rear shock towers, and door bars that meet with the front hoop in the footwells. The front and rear hood would be connected as far up into the corners as I can get -- I ...

I wasn't planning on having that diagonal bar. Sorry I forgot to mention, I thought it was a given. I think I'll send Doug a PM to see what may be best for my needs. Maybe doing nothing at all would be the best option. It would surely be the most affordable :salute:

I think they're rated at 230 at the crank from the factory. Maybe most of the guys who get them immediately turn the bost up a bit

I don't think you can put "roll cage" and "streetability" in the same sentence. Roll cages are a no-no for a street car due to the dangers of making contact with them while not wearing a helmet. I thought you were just building a race car.. Yeah, I've heard that, but I would thi...

The new STi is the only WRX that I can stand the looks of. If you test drive one you might see past the looks. There isn't much difference in looks between the Evo and STi imo, both have the same basic body shape. Fairly narrow, tall and 4 doors. Basically rally cars for the street. If you want a p...
