Re: Sold my M4, bought my dream car
I don't have the time honestly, there's a guy in the Ukraine who builds headers for these though. Quality pieces, though they are shorty style.

Re: Sold my M4, bought my dream car
Probably not much for exhaust, there aren't many aftermarket options. Headers are tempting, an X-pipe, quality mufflers. Haha I'm not sure there's much good to say about it if I'm honest. V12 is cool as hell, but it's also not great either. They're reliable, silent, and super smooth, but that's abou...

Sold my M4, bought my dream car
This car came up for sale nearby, and I had to have it. 1991 850i 6MT black on black. Pure sex on wheels, but overall a terrible car. Uncomfortable, bad steering, bad shift feel, slow, silent, and all of the usual 90s BMW problems. But God it looks good. I plan on keeping it and driving it for a whi...

Re: Gran Damn
I mean no offense by this, but this entire thread reaffirms my decision to quit GM. Can't even get a decent daily driver, and even after all of this work you'll be left with an average car that does nothing particularly well. And while it's fun to upgrade the car and see/feel improvements, going fro...

Re: A few BMW 335's I play with
Like Steven said, right out the front. It's actually stupid easy, 10-12 little screws for the bumper cover, 8 nuts for the bumper, and once you disconnect all of the hoses the entire front clip with radiators/intercooler pulls right off and you've got full access to the engine. The AWD ones suck, ax...

Re: Aaron's 1998 750iL
Seriously man, I've got cars stashed all over CO. I've truly come to love this V12. It's unlike any other engine I've had, even after 336k now, it's still the smoothest ICE car I've been in. I frequently catch myself freaking out at stop lights because it doesn't feel like it's running at all. When ...

Re: Aaron's M4
To be honest I haven't noticed, they feel great to me. But then again the E90 did too so I'm not sure. The M4 auto-blips anyways so I never need to do that part hehe.

A few BMW 335's I play with
I've gotten pretty good with the BMW E9X cars, and these were the last 2 I did. I bought both with blown engines. Replaced both engines and rebuilt the replacement engines myself since both were high mileage (160k and 211k). Rod bearings, rings, every gasket, etc. The black car had downpipes and an ...

Aaron's 1998 750iL
I'm in Vegas with my girlfriend visiting her folks who live in a condo near the strip. In the top of the parking garage is a BMW 850, flat tires, covered in dust, been sitting for years. So I sent an email out to the complex asking to buy it, and a few hours later a lady calls me and says she knows ...

Aaron's M4
Bought this about a year ago. Not much special about it, just a 2018 M4 6MT. I did downpipes and a custom E85 tune, sitting around 580rwhp. It's a fun car, I hardly ever drive the thing. received_1446600005795655.jpeg received_1418359918498623.jpeg received_473250860384841.jpeg 184549665_10109298017...

Steven is always great fun to hang out with, I try to hit him up every time I'm in LA. I'm surprised he still has that car and is progressing on it!

I didn't think you would remove the OEM cooler, so that's good. I also don't think adding an air/oil is necessary, but we'll see.
No one on the N54 forums has any data either. The best reply I've gotten is because the oil gets hot.

Re: S62 E30 AWD (Formerly: Fantastic V8 swap candidate)
As far as the HEX goes, remember people are fucking stupid. The N54 has a air/oil cooler stock, and it thermostatically controls oil flow. The car still takes forever to get oil temps up to normal operating range. Once it does, the temps sit right at 250. To be fair, a few minutes on the track and t...

Re: My NEW turbo setup
Please tell me how not having a dyno but racing bikes on video makes me a hypocrite Sure, to pull a middleweight supersport you'd need north of 600whp. And the guy quite clearly can't ride for shit. So you're going to add nitrous before you've tuned, dynoed, or tracked it? Go back to pfiff where yo...

Jesus I'm an idiot sometimes.
Umm, ya, I haven't heard of any 6MT failures. But high RPM WOT shifts could be a lot better. I've heard better gear oil in the trans makes a world of difference.

Re: S62 E30 AWD (Formerly: Fantastic V8 swap candidate)
I'm not sure if that is the same trans used on the N54 twin turbo 3.0, but if so, a word of caution. It is common knowledge in the N54 community that the auto trans guys cannot upgrade their turbochargers because the trans starts slipping right away. The guys call it an auto-tragic, because they fai...
