Re: project silver - 1987 fiero coupe street car
Welcome aboard! I'm a sucker for a clean silver late body style coupe.
I know why your target weight is to keep it where it is, I had a clean Silver 88 5 spd bare bones coupe, although not quick nor fast, it was super fun, super nimble handling.

Re: 85GT Auto or Manual 3800SC?
Depends on what you want to do with the car. For me, I wanted to be able to drive around and enjoy that car and make some hard rips now and again, so I went with the Auto. My car was originally an auto so there is that, but I could have easily put a manual in it.

Re: 1990 Fiero Build Up
I used to think the 90 was pretty wild looking until I realized the 4th gen F- body ruined it for me. that and as the years passed holy fuck that's got an ass end as long as a Cadillac on it. Every time I see a C8 all I see is that incredibly long /bulky ass end.....

If I wanted to track or drag a car or build a dyno queen, the Fiero would be down at the bottom of the list of choices.

One would think that after all these years, all these Fiero show that Shaun would go and show them how it's done.

Re: Front spring selection for 84-87
idk why anyone is still fucking wasting time with a pre 88 when A number of us are driving around on a cut pre 88 spring. The problem isn't the spring, it's your suspension as a whole. Bingo. It's a fiero. Live with it or buy a kia Yep The Fiero is what it is, while I do enjoy it for what it is, I'...

Re: 88 L36 to L67 swap
I want to give huge props to Ryan aka Sinister Fiero for his expertise and inspiration, he was there every time when I asked for help, he provided me with BCM wiring when I couldn't find it, I took inspiration of his 4 low engine mounts and semi copied it for my self, he was there when I realized my...

The Same mounts as the NA/ Non- HD trans. Only one slight mod to the rear transaxle mount as the rear lowest left pick up hole is off set depthtwise on the Non-HD where as it flush with the rest on the HD, just knocked the spacer off the back side of my mount and it fit flush. Other than that the mo...

Re: 88 L36 swap
When you fucked with 6 different axles for 5 hours and yet your shortest concoction is at least an inch longer than what worked with your last swap, I don't know if it was impatience, desperation or frustration, probably a bit of all 3.

Probably not much, The tanks have those 2 thin rubber strips that push against the bottom of the center tunnel.Shaun41178(2) wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 8:07 pm Anyone have an idea how much clearance there is above the gas tank when installed?

I bet it's even easier if you have a tube swage. it looks great! I wish I had a swage kit! I would be turning these out even nicer! I just use the basic tubing benders for brake work. I posted because I know you guys would appreciate custom work that is your own:) I use a local fabricator to Silver...

Re: 88 L36 swap
The rails normally go over the blower right? Looks like a pretty smooth execution, nice job! Ya the do, up and over crossing several times, looks like a spiders web in stock form. I can post some pics of how I make these utilizing the stock fuel rail and some 3/8 and 5/16 steel tubing. It's really ...
