Re: brake line nut

I cut the tubing with a tubing cutter. I am going to reflare it. The new nuts are steel, probably zinc plated. The chromate treatment gives them the yellowish look.

Re: brake line nut

This is where the hard line goes to the rubber line. I'm changing the rubber lines out for stainless. The old ones are all cracked and brittle. I didn't see any signs of them swelling or anything. I don't see a seat or anything in the new stainless lines or the old rubber ones. I just don't want to ...

brake line nut

How important is the nonthreaded end space of the brake line nut? I had to use vise grips on both of the fronts to get them off. It mangled them pretty bad. The only nuts I could find in town have the threads all the way to the end. I couldn't find any specific brake nuts just these generic steel on...

Re: Fuel Pump 3.4 push rod

I got to the shop where it is at just as they were closing today. So I didn't get a chance to do anything. I'll check the pump and the wiring. Good to know that the vette pump is still a good choice , if the pump is bad I'll replace it with another.

Fuel Pump 3.4 push rod

Whats the top dog for fuel pumps nowadays? My GT (turbo) died on me this afternoon, it shutoff in the middle of the road. I got it off the road and into a parking lot. I was thinking it might be the ignition module so I changed that out but it didn't start. One of my buddies came up and noticed the ...

Re: New door, or replace the panel, mirror, and window?

I'd just replace the door also. Heres is what my GT looked like after a similar incident. http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/757592/original/wreckedgt1a.jpg http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/757593/original/wreckedgt2a.jpg I caught the mirror when it fell into the cabin with me. The window was down...

split the topic if you have to as I don't want to ruin this thread Nice work dgz. Is it running yet? I would have put the MAT sensor after the intercooler not before the turbo. The computer needs to know what the airflow temp is going into the engine itself. After being compressed and intercooled, ...

It's got the stock 7170 comp. and a 2 bar map sensor with a Dennis Lagrua chip. The 7730 is the one that Sinister made work isn't it?

Got it running again. Only had one oil leak, the distributor. Apparently you can only use the o-ring one time. Timing is set at 10 btc. Now to get it up to AbelRacing for some computer work without blowing it up. It took a month to get a set of rings for one .020 over piston :cussing: . Finally got ...

I got a little bit done this weekend. 5 new pistons and rods are in. Broke a ring trying to get one of the pistons in. So I gotta wait for a new set of rings for that piston. Looking at another engine computer, maybe megasquirt. The pistons and rods were 3.4 camaro stuff.

I guess I should of said aftermarket rods.
The oil was clean no water anyways, the coolant was clean. The only thing I can think that would be the cause would be the running it without the BOV even if it wasn't turning too many rpm's it was still too much for it.

The pictures are in the right order. I expected #1 to look like #5. #1 was the only dead cylinder on it when I'd pull a plugwire off with it running. When I was coming home from Abel, I got off of 240 I let off the gas and there was no traffic coming, So I got back in the gas, thats when the motor t...
