Handles like a go cart

Saw this come through just now. It actually looks pretty nicely done for what it is: https://bringatrailer.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/2025_pontiac_fiero_img_2334-74108.jpeg?fit=940%2C626 This go-kart was constructed by Bird Automotive of Omaha, Nebraska, and was designed to resemble a Pontiac Fi...

Most of what is pinned to the top could be deleted and the prior moderator hasn't been on the board since Obama's first term.

Not about disk space.

I don't see the issue that requires cleanup. Is this about disk space?

Re: LZ9 and LZ4 Fiero Swap Parts

Some shots below. Couple thoughts: 1. Nice welds. 2. Real clean cuts. 3. Paint looks pretty nice not even considering how fast you made it. 4. We were thinking it might be helpful to incorporate one more bolt hole from below. 5. A gusset would be reassuring. 6. A thicker gauge would be nice Would be...

Re: Lz9 rotating assembly weights

That sounds like a nightmare. Thanks for the heads up. I wondered why people were pulling "good" rods. If you go used, you probably could find a set of Ti rods, on a budget. This one is $1,250: https://www.ebay.com/itm/266472618709?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo...

The move to the new server is done. There are a couple things I need to tidy up, but if you see anything major, let me know.

Forum Move 2024

Every couple years, the website or server colocation company refuses to give me a renewal rate for webhosting RFT that is not excessively over current market rates. They do this on the premise that it is a pain to move and certain companies may not tolerate temporary outages that can occur and will ...

Re: Lz9 + 4 spd manual trans in 86 GT swap

Thanks! Made another sample, this one was almost spot on, except for the vertical member going to the block was still too long, I forgot to correct it when I made the other changes yesterday. https://i.imgur.com/5N65H4y.jpg Can you tighten up the slots? Do you have enough clearance in the hole for t...

Re: Lz9 + 4 spd manual trans in 86 GT swap

Hi, Are you able to share drawings so we can print them out and do some mock-ups? Also, how are you planning to have these manufactured? Waterjet, steel sheets and welding? Something else? Happy to have a chat offline if it's easier. Thanks. There have been several small revisions, I'm almost ready ...

Re: organization techniques

For lean six sigma, I learned using post it notes on a wall sized sheet of butcher paper. You can move the notes around if you need to change the process or reprioritize. You can use different color notes to represent different workflows. You can take the butcher paper off the wall and roll it up if...

I must have gotten my wires crossed about which bolt hole is there and which is moved on the GenIV blocks then.

What else is the bracket attached to? One bolt ain't gonna work.
