Re: My new Fiero.
A simple 3.4 swap would be more than enough to beat a 308. A 3800 S/C would probably be serious overkill. Those numbers might be from a professional driver but honestly I have yet to meet with anyone that knows how to race a 308. You'll get a lot of shit talkers like the ones over on Old Europe with...

Re: My new Fiero.
I'm of the mindset that you pay cash for your toys. You don't need them anyways and If you need 20 year financing you really shouldn't have one. Well hey man if you got the money then go for it. If I wanted to do I could go out and get a real Gallardo down the road when they start dropping far belo...

If you still have this car by next year early I might make a play for it. If uncle sam didn't fuck me in the ass this tax season It might have been summer time I could have made the deal with ya.

Re: ls4 fiero at the dragstrip
I know of a guy who's putting a 640hp LS4 in his Murcielago Replica that claims he can beat the original. I called him out to a run once I'm done with my car.

What the fuck!!!!
Ok so I had issues with Radator fluid because the previous owner I guess I didn't put a clamp on the return line to the overflow tank. Thats fine, I went out to Auto zone, got more rad fluid along with some clamps and slapped it all together and topped it off with fluid went to work and it was drivi...

Re: My new Fiero.
Thats the problem I have with buying an exotic. The moment I take it out for a drive I start to lose money and the value tanks the more miles you put on it. 1. Buy a glass bodied 308 2. Put 2000 miles a year on it for ten years (do timing belt services yourself) 3. Sell it for twice what you paid f...

Re: Super-fast ratio ZR1 power steering rack in '88
I wouldn't mind doing this to my 86. I'm starting to think the steering rack is going and I might as well get something worth the while.

Re: My new Fiero.
The difference is the exotic will depreciate fairly hard until it starts to appreciate. A replica isn't worth what it cost the day you got it, and it never appreciates. If it were me I'd put my money into a baller engine swap and leave it at that. Thats the problem I have with buying an exotic. The...

Re: My new Fiero.
If you're not interested in losing money I'd keep the whole domestic motor in an exotic out of your head. HOWEVER, if you're buying an exotic car with maintenance costs in mind, you're far from in the right mindset. They aren't cheap to run, they aren't supposed to be. My dream car is priceless but...

Re: My new Fiero.
You can tell lol, you can always tell. Some build them to where the vast majority cannot tell but anyone whose been around the real deal won't even have to look twice. Sure you can buy a good LP640 kit, then pay to have the car lengthened, then $10,000 in paint and body if not more, several grand i...

Re: My new Fiero.
There's a guy out in Chatsworth who's got a Fiero based Murcielago and you can't tell the difference between his LP640 with a Supercharged 2.8 and the real deal. I may Go fiero based unless I can buy a project car with a tube chassis like a Prova Countach Replica and ill swap in the Viper V10 or BM...

Re: This 3 speed needs to go!!!!
You can put in a 440T4 aka the 4T60 non electronic, it is a 4speed automatic. You have to change the passenger side axle I believe, but that's a swap that is done occasionally. A 4-speed version of the 125 was created for the 1985–1986 GM C platform (FWD)/GM H platform (FWD) cars, the Turbo-Hydrama...

Id buy your Fiero but I don't know how much your asking and I'm moving again cause my roommate is preggo(Not mine baby, not my problem) I also bought the car with a small loan with intent of building up SOME credit. I know it sounds fucking gay, the loan should be paid up in less than a year so we w...

Re: My new Fiero.
Replicas are lame in my opinion, it'll never be more than a fiero. Which is fine, I own 3 of them, but I don't like when people present them as something they are not. 3800 is a good swap, I have a 3800SC automatic, really like it, but I never drive it Get some rims! It depends on how you build it....

Re: 4.9 dyno
I've owned two Caddillacs with the 4.9 motor and they both were piss fucking slow. Great cars for driving around town but id never want this engine in a sportscar like a Fiero or Fbody.

This 3 speed needs to go!!!!
I love my newish fiero and it runs great, the motor is very strong and dependable however the one thing that sucks about this car is the shitty 3 speed it has. It simply kills itself! :-o Driving on California highways like the 5 is a damn risk cause you can't top out or maintain speeds with traffic...
