What happens when your parts bin math is off?

I feel really bad for this guy. Alot of money down the tubes. I'm not sure what he did, but I have a feeling he might have upped the rocker ratio. There's not any mention of a new came or heads.

I looked through that entire site and did not see a single time faster than the one I quoted for the 1000. Hell, I didn't find a time faster than the one I quoted for the Busa. You're the one spouting bullshit. The fastest time for a Busa? 9.997 @ 144.8. And that was the 1999 model! Suzuki GSX1300R...

For the sake of clarity, here's a high res pic of the kent-moore tool. You can zoom in on it and read the actual instructions. Nothing about the getrag mentioned though. Not nearly as detailed as the instructions here.

Maybe they cut the fule or ignition early so the inertia doesn't throw it over redline? Yes/no??? It would seem like you would be way out the torque range by then anyway, so I agree, it sells just like HP sells. Inertia doesn't accelerate things.. it maintains the status quo. The only inertia that'...

This is absolutely retarded. You have a kid who has rode ONE bike ... ONCE spouting "facts" about bikes he has never sat on. The GSXR1300 was built as a "sport touring" bike whos sole purpose in life was to be "faster than the ZX12R". Which is arguably did... or did no...

Shut the fuck up will, you don't know shit about what you're talking about here. The fastest time recorded on a GSX-R1000 by Sport Rider was a 9.774 @ 148.69. The fastest time for a Busa? 9.997 @ 144.8. And that was the 1999 model! The new ones are even slower, still stuck in the 10s! For the recor...

You obviously know nothing of my car and what's going on with it. 1) Let's see...he's aware it's your first motor swap. (sorry, kid--watching your dad do it to one of his cars doesn't count.) 2) He's laughing at it like everyone else on the board because he's seen your mid 15's timeslip (and that y...

OK now I'm totaly confised. One person says the adaptor plate is thinner than A rchies; another says you have to cut the frame for clearence. But you don't have to with A rchie's thicker plate? Personally I don't care what needs to be cut or how much. Especially on the VW. I can cut/fabri...

Here's a few of Dan Garlits signing RBorecky's car. That other car is the first T-top car ever produced I believe. Something about the prototype being installed on it. http://images.andale.com/f2/115/106/1168833/1156744027570_Picture_843.jpg http://images.andale.com/f2/115/106/1168833/1153842792536_...

Besides... Cal Kid has a Zumalt style install and you don't want to be like HIM, do you? I've considered repainting my car for that very reason. Seriously. Flat black. There's even room in archee's kit to move this thing toward the driver's side quite a bit if you have axles made. There's somewhere...

The adapter in archee's manual kit is 1 inch thick. The flywheel is actually bulked up a bit to take up the space added by the adapter and move the clutch disk onto the input shaft. All you really need are those two things. I think he'll sell you the adapters separately too. IIRC, the zumalt kit req...

Ed seems like the kind of guy I could deal with in real life but comes off the wrong way more often than not on the internet. IMO its hard to really judge someone from the internet like a lot of people do. Just my 2 cents... They great thing about internet forums is you can tell something is wrong ...

Yes, the trailerless trash is back.

He's a demonstrable failure at life socially and economically and he's blaming you! (well, cops, attorneys, politicians and everyone else who's out to get him)

So? What's not to like?

If you have a hex editor you might be able to just change the first two bytes of the file to fool the sniffer.

There's a freeware one called (what else) HexEdit that works well.

Found the perfect car for you. http://www.fiero.com/forum/Forum4/HTML/033598.html You basically build a 302 and drop it in. Engine swap is pretty much done. Its a pretty good price for the car, nice and clean looking. There's something going on with that car. He had something wrong with the motor t...
