The set of 180 SBC headers I purchased came with slip on collectors, but are not as tight as I would like them. For an EFI car, you really can not have any exhaust leaks before the O2 sensor, so a tight sealing collector is a requirement (more so then on a carb stock car) . I am still kicking around...

Hmmm... my wimpy 283whp/315lb-ft with getrag running 245/45/16's will light up the tires anywhere in 1st or 2nd gear with just an agressive throttle input - no clutch dump needed.

If you roll into the throttle the rears hold pretty good and most days if I have any wheel spin it is intentional.

I have a buddy that makes his own SBC adapter plates and his design is based around reusing the stock 4cyl flywheel What does he do about the external balancing? Weld a weight to the duke flywheel? The pre-86 SBC (except 400's) are neutral balanced. For the 400's if you could spare the 1/16" t...

I have a buddy that makes his own SBC adapter plates and his design is based around reusing the stock 4cyl flywheel On a conventional SBC pattern, you need to mill new flats for the SBC crankshaft bolts so they will be counter sunk enough to clear the clutch disk hub (they fall in the raised portion...

but it might hang below the cradle. I highly doubt this will be a problem, even if it does. My pan hangs below my cradle about 1/2"-1" after my adding volume. I haven't had any problems yet, and I don't anticipate any. Speed bumps and the like are fine, because the oil pan is very close t...

You just need to make some of these handy tools... just remember to keep the pressure low and use the rubber diaphram to keep from blasting air into the fluid. http://i152.photobucket.c...

Just cut the bubble flare off the fiero line as close to the end as possible. Then install the 1/4" nut and reflare the fiero hard line and used a 1/4" flare to flare coupler to connect the two.

Hmm, I never measured my HTOB, I just didn't get that technical into it. I pretty much bolted it together hoping it would work because I didn't really have much of a choice at that point. It had to work, lol. In anycase, I've put plenty of miles on my 00+ setup with zero issues whatsoever. Mine has...

So in your picture you are FULLY compressed? Christian is convinced the flywheel is too tall, but the 1/16 or less that it is too tall is nothing compared to how far the system is actually off by right now. As far as the inputshaft bearing goes... It may be incorrectly seated but it has little to n...

Are you sure you have the right hydraulic throwout bearing? On my original 93 Getrag, the distance from the bellhousing face to the HTOB is just over 2 3/8" vs. your 2 5/16" http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s162/fieroguru/Getrag7.jpg From my records the last time I messed with a stock 2....

I'm having a hard time getting the timing set perfect because when I put it into diagnostic mode the idle is a lot lower and it doesn't want to stay running. You need to get the baseline timing set right and to do that it must stay running. Crank open the throttle blade (might need to remove the pl...

The Ramjet uses the 3 bolt LS1 style throttle body. Is the N* similar? Anyone have a pic of this egr plate?

Atilla the Fun wrote:Maybe you could modify a 75mm EGR spacer for a 5.0 Mustang, it should have enough meat to go 90 mm.
I will keep that in mind. The Ramjet uses the 75mm throttle body, so the mustang one should work with some mods.
