Re: I still visit here sometimes. What I've been up to.
glad to see you back! I'd love to get my Fiero to a few auto cross events. I'd like to get the new engine built first though, the current LX9 isn't very happy. I probably wouldn't be competitive at all in whatever class my car would end up in, but I bet it would still be a riot. I would definitely ...

Re: I still visit here sometimes. What I've been up to.
Awesomesauce! Looks like a fun story! As fun as a Veloster may be, the 6th Gen is in a completely different league! I'm really curious about it, as I've heard they have absolutely phenomenal handling. Yeah, the Camaro is another level. The first time I drove one at autocross, I was sold on the idea...

Re: I still visit here sometimes. What I've been up to.
It's been quite some time since I've posted here and I've gone through a lot of cars in that time. I have also got heavily involved in SCCA autocross. I think I started in 2017. I am now co-chair and course-designer of my local region and I do about 20 events a year including a few national events ...

I still visit here sometimes. What I've been up to.
Hi all, I have been discussing Fieros a lot lately with some of my friends which has got me loitering around here a little more. It's been quite some time since I've posted here and I've gone through a lot of cars in that time. I have also got heavily involved in SCCA autocross. I think I started in...

One of the most unique and interesting 'Fieros' I have seen.
This popped up on one of my friend's FB-page today. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/5578785024.html While the pics aren't the greatest, I would say that for $9500 it would be worth a look if you live anywhere near San Diego. LS3 with the Mendeola trans is easily worth that. And what is up wi...

I don't know what was used here, but Slammed-Fiero (Jon McCreery) did this on an M3 recently as well and he used Leatherique. I don't know if this image will work but: https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/v/t1.0-9/12439301_10156703925575501_2499522262567789285_n.jpg?oh=fc49af8669e654769...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMarKH01gXQ My fd is running after 2 years at a buddys place. Been so busy with new kid, new job and new house that it's been on the back burner. Going to pick it up soon though. Nice! I still want an FD to compliment my RX-8. I've also been checking out FC turboII's...

Re: New winter car. Subaru
Thanks guys. No build-thread on the house Will. I really don't have much to do on this one other than painting and replacing a hot-water tank. I have to say that I really love this car. I've only put 200 miles on it and it that time I have found that this car is my ideal DD. The seats are snug, but ...

Re: Seat Rails for non fiero seats
This was a solution me and a friend of mine came up with to mount a set of unknown Recaros into my Fiero back in the day: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m221/akursedx/fiero/IMG_0371.jpg http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m221/akursedx/fiero/IMG_0377.jpg http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m221/ak...

New winter car. Subaru
Hey guys, I know I don't post here much but I still do read the forums. Anyways, I picked up a new DD for the colder months. I previously had a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium which taught me a valuable lesson about enjoying what I drive. It was a nice vehicle with all kinds of cool technology, but as far...

Along the same line as the Cayenne, but a Touraeg V10 TDI would make for a nice tow-rig

Re: My 3.4 DOHC powered '88 Fiero
Going for the tactical blueberry look? Something to that effect. This project is now on hold though. I moved back to Buffalo and within a week I had a blue-hair back into my RX8 in a parking lot resulting in enough damage to get a new door, fender and respray of half the car. Plus I decided I'm bor...

Re: My 3.4 DOHC powered '88 Fiero
Would you be offended or flattered if I did the same wrap to my RX8 except with blue accents instead of red? I have to do something with the exterior of it and I think this would be awesome, plus it would help hide some of the dings.

Re: Porterfield R4-S pads
The Eradispeed rotors are affordable and light but they are not track rotors, they're for show. Crossdrilled rotors just crack under the constant heating and cooling of road course use. Porsche gets away with holes in their rotors because they arent crossdrillrd. They cast in the holes, so the grai...

Re: Porterfield R4-S pads
If you could afford it, you should buy some Baer Eradispeed 2-piece rotors. That's a lot of money though. Centric sells Cryo-treated rotors fairly cheap and I have read that cryo-treating really helps extend rotor life for track-day cars. As for the pads, I'm not all too surprised that the R4S has f...
