Re: 3.4 DOHC with an automatic
I would use the stock transmission that came with the 3.4, The th125s are horrible The gearing is maybe ok for a 3.4 dohc engine, But you will need to adapt the TV cable onto the throttle for it to shift properly, And your computer will have to be programed to disable the codes you will get with the...

Re: New paint job
you can make it shine by adding about 4 coats of clear coat then wet sanding with 1000 grit sandpaper, At autozone they have the quarts of clearcoat, just get a aircompressor and a spray gun block off needed stuffs or if you can't get a aircompressor get the high den fiber rollers and roll it on aft...

The biggest difference I can tell is from the supercharges on both the S1 has a smaller goofy looking one that has a huge plastic cover over it The height and what dark says will be the only way to tell without the supercharger attached. Anyway here's a pic of a s1 supercharged engine. http://upload...

If you go with OBD2 do not go with a 97, The 97 computer does not like to have it's line pressure increased (computer program) or it likes to throw a 1811 code, I find out this when it threw it and I went through all of that to replace the pressure control selonoid, I found this out when I put a sto...

Mine did that ticking sound crap when I had the stickshift and the spec(thought it was only me), The TO bearing was a special order from advance But never gave me any problems(because spec sent me a TO bearing for a GETRAG transmission instead of a izusu, PS if anyone needs a TO bearing for a GETRAG...
