When does NashCo Motorsports open its doors?
Well I'd say the doors are open once a paying customer walks into my shop. As the old saying goes, "Cash talks." :-D

Re: My Grassroots Motorsports $2009 build

The Fiero has been on a bunch of websites now and so far making the Jalopnik front page was my most proud...but I think this one has them topped:

Pretty cool!

Re: NW Fiero Owners

I'm a little far off to help out, but I bet with a handful of good pictures and some specific details we can help you out on the forum. As mentioned, Doug Chase is pretty close to you, knows Fieros very well, and has his own business working on cars: http://www.chaserace.com/ If you just want to pay...

Re: hub/stub/outer CV separation and interchange

There are snap rings. Remove as much grease as you can, you'll see them. IIRC, the axle has a groove with a ring that compresses around the axle shaft. It's not a brute force thing, it's a finesse thing. The most important thing to do is clean all the grease so you can see what you're doing and your...

I haven't been around a computer in a while, what happened with this? Did you win? How did you do in the autocross and the drags? http://realfierotech.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16482&start=40 The Fiero got 20th overall after some last minute repairs. Updates: http://grassrootsmotorsport...

Re: My Grassroots Motorsports $2009 build

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. The Civic that won has been to the challenge for three years in a row and had (literally) dozens of people working on the car... of course they took the tires home! The winning car wasn't really my bag, but it was obvious they'd poured a ton of blood, s...

Re: I went 10.30 yesterday

That's pretty damn quick. Just goes to show you, when it comes to racing you can never get enough speed. Even at 10.3, you're still going to analyze things to figure out where to get more. I can't imagine being in a Fiero that quick. Not many people would believe a Fiero running low 10s without seei...

Re: My Grassroots Motorsports $2009 build

There were 50something cars there. I definitely could have placed higher if not for the last minute problems, oh well...shoulda, coulda, woulda. I was just glad to avoid any DNFs after having travelled all that way and be able to show the potential of the EV stuff. I'll be thinking for the next few ...

Good luck though. RFT will be rooting for you.

Re: My Grassroots Motorsports $2009 build

Any of you Florida folks going to come out to the $2009 in Gainesville? This Fiero will only be on that corner of the country once, so if you want to check it out (and a bunch of other really cool cars at the Challenge), Friday and Saturday is your chance!

Re: My Grassroots Motorsports $2009 build

So the Fiero is sitting at the transporter in Orlando. Does anybody live near Orlando that can help me get it out of storage? My flight lands just a couple hours after their office closes. I'll make it worth your while! :)

Re: hub/stub/outer CV separation and interchange

The auto axles are smaller than the manuals. The outer stubs themselves are the same, but the CV inside of it is sized appropriate for the axle IIRC. It seems to me the path of least resistance is to get Fiero A/T axles and call it done, but if you want to go all McGyver on it, it IS possible....jus...

I forgot to check my inventory, I'll try and remember tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I've got a spare, just want to check before making an empty promise.

Why not copy the update, and post it here? It's really annoying to just be given links to other sites, I don't even click them, even though I'm interested in the update. Just too much of a pain, and you have to scroll through hundreds of posts from people you don't know while they say "good jo...

lemme know what ya bishes want.

IIRC, they're a real bear to get out of the control arm (have to remove the bushings). I think I've got a spare control arm I could sell if you were interested in buying the whole arm.
