Re: My 3.4 DOHC powered red and black camo '88 Fiero Track Car

some quick googling looks like the Voron is a custom build it yourself printer? looks very well built from what I can see. I need to get my printer out and dusted off, but I could also use to make some significant upgrades to it as well, unfortunately, that will have to wait until I get this dump of...

Re: The Mule rides again (sort of) - pics.

So, i have pulled the pedal box before, my car was born an automatic, I wonder how much stiffness can be added by a flat plate, to me, it doesn't look like the issue is as localized as that portion of the firewall, but the whole firewall. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I'm super curious about how your firewall panel will look, and how it will perform. I have an idea in my head to reinforce that area as well, but it's much different than a panel, I also haven't even started working on the design though.

Re: The Hunt!/Eric's new dump.

so, a few updates. I got the master bedroom wiring mostly finished, later this week, I'm going to try and get most of the other circuits landed in the breaker panel and run to their respective areas, I also removed the window that was on the wall, in what it now going to be the master bathroom. http...

Re: The nice car sighting thread!

For a while, I had considered the earlier sunfire headlights for a pop-up delete, if I were feeling like completely re-sculpting my entire front end. that looks like a clean example!

Re: My 3.4 DOHC powered red and black camo '88 Fiero Track Car

are the clips you're using to hold the speed sensor cable to the brake line 3d printed? how are your prints holding up in environments like that? care to give us a run down on your printer and process? I 3d printed some hubcap adapters for my car at one point, but they warped in the heat here in SC....

Re: progress on the banshee...

The Crower's are solid lifters, they may work, but I would prefer to run a hydraulic lifter if I can. Crower does list lifter parts on their website, which may help me get a set of link bars and replacement pins/washers for them, if they fit. I suspect they will fit, because several cam companies se...

Second, might want to build the VSS, and back up light harness with a connector so it can be be divorced from the main harness, and adapted to other transmissions. I'm not at all above re-terminating or splicing onto those wires when I switch to the F40. Good point, though. I should be considering ...

Re: The Hunt!/Eric's new dump.

I don’t really like the corner counterspace next to the fridge; looks like it is obstructed and hard to use. Can you put the pantry in that corner? Maybe not possible with the vent area… I hadn't really considered it that way, but you're very right, I hadn't considered that the fridge was full heig...

Silly me for thinking R was refrigerator it's alphabetical, "Range" comes before "refrigerator" I made some revisions, it works out to about 13x11 for the "kitchen" although the kitchen is open to the rest of the space, which is about 13'x36' https://i.imgur.com/WFb15R...

Re: The Hunt!/Eric's new dump.

Some thoughts: Plenum concept would ensure equal pressure to each duct, but each duct has a different length, number of turns, etc, so it doesn't mean that the resulting flow would be the same. And depending on the rooms, they may not all need the same cfms, so I wouldn't get too worked up over thi...

First, Japan is rad, I would love to go check it out again, especially as a civilian.

Second, might want to build the VSS, and back up light harness with a connector so it can be be divorced from the main harness, and adapted to other transmissions.

Re: The Hunt!/Eric's new dump.

so, I've made a significant change to what I was going to do with the house, I decided not rebuild the "patio" space, as it would just cost too much money to properly enclose. probably won't be a ton of pictures, as most of the work is kinda hard to capture in a picture right now, when it'...

Re: LZ9 and LZ4 Fiero Swap Parts

I'll have to look into the element analysis, I'm not sure how well it would work with the way I design my parts, but that's a great reason to change the way I design parts. I'm on design 3 of the alternator mount, I'm onto a design that I believe to be viable, but I would like to integrate a dog bon...

Re: project silver - 1987 fiero coupe street car

Fwiw, I did a tape measure alignment on my car. I set camber with an angle finder, then measured to the wheel faces for toe. Tire wear has been acceptable, and the car drove great.

Re: LZ9 and LZ4 Fiero Swap Parts

I've been working towards a new design alternator mount, which should allow for the use of intermediate shafts, and hopefully, automatic transmissions. My old design used the bosses on the side of the block that both of those bolted to, this one, while possibly looking simpler, is a bit more complic...

welcome to the board! always nice to see a new name around.

what are you looking at for engine choices? as I understand it, CARB legal swaps can be quite difficult.

still learning to refine the scans to something slightly more useful, it looks like mixed modeling may be an option, but I need to get my scan process cleaned up first.

for now, the main objective was to use it as an aid, so that I can attempt to digitally prototype parts faster. I think as I get the scanner setup better, the results of the scan will be improved. here is a scan of an LZx engine block corner, which could be helpful for determining interference point...
