Also, I've gotten the dizzy to fit with the Gen2 heads, but I don't think it's possible with Gen3 heads. Good to see your getting it together finally Shaun. I still have a bunch of 3.4L TDC stuff from Eric here with your name on it! lol

Car is looking better everytime I see it, but after looking at those head off engine bay pics, damn am I glad I don't have to work on it!

The only first gear upgrades are the Evo3 and a straight cut dogbox setup. I haven't broken any teeth yet, so I'm hoping the face plating will hold up. Even if I have to replace a gear, it's only $80 to modify. I'm sure it's probably a couple hundred and a few weeks wait for a PAR or PPG replacement...

1st was replaced with a DSM 1st. Otherwise it probably would have. I think the rod bolts have to do with the expansion of the rod with heat. It just beats the bolts up.

The Mirage in Japan was the Lancer. And yeah, our 93-97ish 4 door mirages are lancer EVO 1-5 in Japan with a wussy drivetrain and FWD. We are actually doing a 95 mirage at work right now using 1G DSM and EVO-3 parts.

I have a Getrag from an 87GT. I'm all the way in PA though, so I'm sure shipping might get costly. PM me as a last resort I guess. It's got somewhere around 115K IIRC and shifted pretty well when pulled from the car a little over a year ago.

The car has looked pretty much the same since the first build. Only the engine and turbo setup have really changed. First engine was a 2.3L Stroker Using a Eagle Forged 100mm Crank. Eagle had a bad batch of them, and of course I got one, so within 26 miles it torched the thrust bearing in the block....
