you can get an alpine era -g300/320 thats what I did and it will allow you to custom set each speaker so you get what you are looking for. Has a nice display with a hideaway brain box. You can get them for about 300 on ebay. It works great and very easy to work with.

One has just been put on ebay. It is my Friends and the motor is clean. I would like to see this swap done but he does not have the time to work on this.

Thanks for the props on the 86 manual. I am working on the rest as well. They are just so damn big to scan in. Its taking me a while but will be worth it in the long run.

I had the same thing. It was the egr tube like stated above. Changed it and all is well.

Sound is nothing and yes its ricey to by a motor bassed on sound. Performance is why you swap.
