Re: I bought a house and a lift. Let the garage upgrades be
The garage setup/lighting thread on Corner Carvers: http://www.corner-carvers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14176 There's probably some specific info on floor coverings in that thread, and maybe a dedicated thread on that forum. Search before you post. Bring a LOOOOONNNGGG attention span. I'll check ...

Re: I bought a house and a lift. Let the garage upgrades be
Congrats on the home purchase! Looks great!! This is in the DC area? Clearly out in the 'burbs... Whereabouts? Thanks! Yeah, it is. Waldorf area specifically. Know of anybody looking for a place? Two of the rooms are for rent... That combat zone tax exclusion combined with DC BAH is nice, isn't it?...

I bought a house and a lift. Let the garage upgrades begin!
So, I don't post often and haven't done anything to my Fiero for a long time, but I still check out this forum all the time. Also, it's the only car forum I'm a part of that I've actually met a couple of you guys. That said, I thought I'd share. As some of you may know, I've been in Afghanistan for ...

Nice! I've been checking to see if you posted a link to this yet. I only watched the free version, but still really cool. Must be awesome to get this kind of coverage for your car.

Re: Unsafe's Talon TSI updates, parts and pics
Sounds like you need to find a home for your household goods before tinkering with old cars. Priorities man, no one thinks the less of you. Ha! Yeah, being homeless isn't the best plan. I do plan to get the housing situation squared away first though (actually want to buy a house, but that remains ...

Re: Unsafe's Talon TSI updates, parts and pics
If the lack of updates wasn't enough of an indication, this project fizzled out. I had quite a few things go badly in my personal life that distracted me from this. That and dealing with all the rust, etc. this car had demotivated me. I ended up getting rid of the shell. That said, I did keep pretty...

Re: CTS-V
I think that flat black job may just be something he can keep up with as temporary as he continues to do other stuff to the car. Not sure though.
Yeah, no RnR for 310 day deployment which is lame. I'm working on an extension which would qualify me though.

I guess that post might not've been clear. I've still got awhile here. I won't be back until next year. Which means more money for car parts upon return.

Re: CTS-V
That is a sexy V. I think I prefer the 1st gen over the 2nd gen for looks. Thanks, man. A couple adapted V2 aspects would be cool, though, I think. This guy adapted a V2 lower grill to his car: http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u244/big_swo_alex/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140915_185937_zpscn9kg3o6.jpg...

Re: CTS-V
So it's now been exactly 6 months since I've driven or even seen my car (close to a year for the Jeep). While driving uparmored SUVs in crazy traffic is fun and all, I miss them. Anyway, I don't think I've posted these pictures in this thread: https://scontent-a-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/t1/5640...

Re: Nice SUV for driving, towing and off-road
Pretty sure the 3500 lbs SRT8 limit is due to the park pin in the trans. You've already ruled out the SRT8, but as long as you didn't park on a hill without the parking brake engaged, it should be fine.

Re: $70,000 budget for a car, go!
So many cool cars attainable/buildable within that budget. I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide on. As for the M5, I'm biased, but I'd go V2 (or wait and see what the V3 is like) over it based on initial cost and mod/maintenance costs.

Re: Let's see your guns!
I picked up a Crimson Trace laser sight set of hand grips that is currently mounted on the M9 that I'm deployed with. I've only been to the range once since I've had them, and due to circumstances wasn't really able to test them out, but they're pretty nice. Out of the box, they match the iron sight...

Re: A couple laps around PMP in a Jeep SRT8 and a BMW S1000R
Nice. I only watched the Jeep vid, but I always really liked Pueblo. The only thing that sucked was the rough surface but now that's new too. Looks like they made that last turn a little safer too. Did you happen to get any lap times? Good video!

Re: Track Days in the DOHC Fiero
Thanks! Yup, that's the plan with the reclass. Greg now allows people to submit power and request a class, and then he assigns a new base weight, rather than submitting base weight and power and getting a class you don't want or expect. I'm going to request whatever class puts me into TTC with the ...
