I have mixed feelings on this wreck, but in my effort to become a nicer person I'm defaulting towards sympathy. Don't get me wrong, since I like to consider myself an above average driver (just like everybody else) one thing that really bothers me is driving with people who think they're good, but a...

Actually I believe I said that it's about average for the 2.8l Fieros I've driven. I've driven stock Fiero 2.8s that were both faster and slower than that one. I agree with Kohburn.

the roads around here are shitty. I'm looking for a 1-1.5" drop or so, maybe 2" tops but probably not lower than 1.5". You definitely don't want a 2" drop, and if your roads suck then 1.5" may be too much. The stock Fiero has around 6" of travel at each end of the car ...

I agree with Donk's "pocket change" comment and also Aaron's '88 comments.

If you want to stay with your car, find another $100 to add to your budget and buy either a set of good tires or a set of Konis.

Here's a very simple dyno idea that I've used. Find a flat, straight, safe, place where you can accelerate from about 20 to 60+ and bring a stop watch. Put the car in second gear at about 2000 RPM and plant the gas. Start timing when the tach hits 3000 and stop at 6000 (or whatever RPM band you care...

Aaron, I have found that hindsight is 20/20 and that kicking someone when they're down rarely results in anything positive.

Are you talking about the Honda? It looks great to me, but you detail cars. What do you see that I don't?

I'm going out on a limb here, and everybody should feel to insult my taste, but I think it looked a little better with the wing on there. Here's why: As far as swoopy ricer wings go, that one doesn't actually look half bad. It also balances out the car a little bit. The enormous cowl hood and the ch...

The dream build when I graduate, and have a steady job: If it were my motor (which it's not) and if I were building it (which I'm not), I'd go a somewhat unconventional route. I would set that motor up basically stock, and it would be cool if you could come up with that ugly prototype intake that S...

I can host them even though they're large, but can't edit WMV easily. I'm sure most people wouldn't want to download all that to watch 2 minutes of fieros though. Yeah, you're in the same boat that I'm in. It's definitely not worth the download for most people. And it would actually be more like 25...

Need video editing help

I recently found a couple rally videos from 2002 with my '85 GT in action. The videos also include everybody else that was running that day so they're rather large - 82 MB and 65 MB. What I would like to do is cut just the Fiero parts out of them so I can post them here. I don't have the capability ...

I would take measurements of existing parts on plywood and use that as a guide to make future bars. Actually, duplicating the bars is even easier than that. Once I build one I just have to record the distances and angles of bends. Then I could build another one from a notebook. The difficult part i...

Last call for Fiero roll bars and roll cages

Hi Everybody, I thought I'd give you all a heads up that sometime in the near future (next couple months) I will cease production of Fiero roll bars and cages for mail order. I will still happily do them for any Fiero that can make it to my shop in Duvall, Washington. Here's why: 1) The car I have b...

With all due respect, the alloy is probably perfectly adequate for the use it was intended. Don't blame GM for the fact that you overtorqued it by 35%.
