Re: Clutchnet Vs. Spec

Dealing with CN now over them sending the wrong PP. Company has zero customer service and seems to send the wrong PP quite a bit. Will never buy from CN again.

Re: attempt at 9's failed

I have no fears of spending money, i just really did not want to spend money in places i did not need it. I still feel that my stock springs/shocks are up to the task, but I would like to increase my street traction by getting the shocks adjusted a bit better, and a longer, possibly progressive rat...

Re: attempt at 9's failed

The motor/trans is only part of the equation to running good numbers......Suspension goes a long ways once you get so fast...Time to start spending a little money in that area before you have an accident.....

Re: Darkhorizon + a budget more than a hamburger =

yea I am wondering if a headgasket is letting go, thus pressurizing the cooling system to a point of blowing a hose. Lets just hope it was a loose clamp though considering everything was just installed in a rush, and this was nothing more then a simple oversight of under tightening a clamp. Also sa...

Looks like you took a trip to V-8 Slurpee's shop....You now see why he did not want anyone putting his shop on goodgle maps....Shit like that is in high demand and very hard to replace......

Re: Batteries

I am running a red top Optima in my car that a traded for about 4 years ago. You can't kill the damn thing even if you try. Back in the summer my car sat for about a month and when I got back to driving it the car fired right up. I left my running lights for a weekend which killed the battery. I 2 a...

Some one got screwed.....Big waste of time to steal either car. Juunkyard will give them $150 a piece for them at least.

88 Lowering Balljoint

Anyone know what year and model of balljoints is used for the 88 lowering balljoints? I want to pick up a set locally so I can install them this week. Seems like I read they where from a Caddy.

Re: parting out an 88

How much for the wheels and where in east Texas? I'm in central Arkansas so I might be able to drive. These are black mesh wheels, correct? Yes they are the tock 88 lace black wheels. The car is in Lufkin Tx but I can get the wheels and bring them to Greenville Tx which is alot closer. I will be go...

Re: Finally Hit 11s...

Now that I have tires (Mickey Thompson 255/50 16s) I'm going to get a little more aggressive with the car. No matter what I did before, the all-seasons would spin like hell with any sort of power applied. Even with no burnout or anything, these tires just hook the hell up. Replacement transmissions...

Re: FIERO LAND SPEED

I have had my car up to the 140s while tuning on 3 occasions in the same day. The car handles alot better than I thought it would and felt solid. We did a 4rth run but at around 130 the right headlight door came up, the front end started dipping side/side and the car came very unstable. This was don...

I meant low 13s--Hit wrong key and didn't re-read.

Re: 3400 fiero, mid 13's

if it ran a 13.8 at 100 mph then I would say no to having more left in it. If it ran 13.8 at 110, then I would say yes to it having more in it. Remember drcpu has made multiple trips down the qtr mile now, all running upper 13's at around 101 mph. I don't remember the MPH but I can tell you the car...

didn't one of archies 6spd LS1 cars recently run a high 13?
Yes--his LS1/6 speed Formula ran high 13.8 down here in Texas. I can say the car had more in it and if had a good driver would have went faster.

good luck with the sale.

The car now has or least it did when I last saw it--A LS1 TB and a much larger upper intake tube to match the TB.

I am working on an issue for a friend that has a 3.4 DOHC in her 88 Coupe. The motor was pulled out for a trans swap and while out the timing belt was replaced. The belt was not replaced the correct was and now the timing is off because of it. I went to look at it and sure enough the flats on the tr...
