Sweet read. As Pyrthian said, sealing is the issue. You could do it with some expensive, low wear, low thermal expansive material like ceramic but that problem is just that, its expensive. It sucks that F1 banned it but I understand why. Sure they are supposed to be pushing the limits of technology ...

All the lifters are run of the mill. its 25 year old technology. They stamp them out hundreds at a time. I dont' know of a high performance 60 degree lifter made by crane, so yea I guess run of the mill too, which they all are anyways. If you think about it though there isn't much to a lifter. I am...

Pretty cool and would take a lot of time and talent but come on.

He spent 15 years making a Ferrari by hand and he can't even drive it....what a waste of time, money and metal.

Just a lot of the early 90's Nissan cars have a lot left in them if you go over the engines to reduce flow restrictions. The 300zx is the one that comes to my mind, the intake and exhuast tracks in that car have lots of weird neckdowned points. Thats all.

Spend some money to rebuild the transmission and have it either REM finished or that new Mikronite finish. Then cryotreat it and you should be fine:)

Yup, most mid engine cars have the cockpit stucture and then subframes attached to they can break loose in event of a huge collison. Sucks bout the Enzo and all the other carbon/composite passenger tubs is that in a big collison, its just a throw away item, you can't repair it once its damaged that ...

If you have to high of a spring rate, you will wear the camshaft lobes out a lot faster and there will be lots of stress on the rest of the valvetrain.
I would think that unless you are going to be running huge amount of boost or rpm's over 6500 that the LS springs would not work.
