Re: Series inspired me, taking my turbo 3.4 to the track

Those fuel coolers are intended for low-pressure fuel systems used on carbureted vehicles, and probably aren't even designed to be used safely with EFI pressures. Are you talking about this cooler? http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/flx-4130/overview/ It has A/N fittings on it and doesn't specif...

Re: Series inspired me, taking my turbo 3.4 to the track

Run a siphon into the tank and use an external universal 255. I would also run in in-line fuel filter before the pump instead of the in tank sock. Much easier to replace and work on.

Re: My 1997 STI

Funny thing is the EJ25 suffers from weak ring lands and blows it's self up at not much more than stock power levels. The EJ20 is a much stronger engine. My car also has a 5 speed. I have to do some reading on it, see how strong it is. The later gen STIs have the 6 speed which is a stout transmissio...

Large fuel pumps can heat your fuel to the point of vapor lock. Summit sells a fuel cooler to combat this.

Re: My 1997 STI

What's not to be a fan of? It weighs as much as a fiero with 300hp and awd. Thinking I should be able to massage 300whp out of it with its current parts and call it a day. Also going to buy some awesome studded winter tires and have some fun. This type r also has DCCD. Too long to explain, manually ...

Re: My 1997 STI

The JDM STIs got the EJ20. Higher performance engine with forged internals and an 8000rpm redline. Guess they didn't think it would sell in Merica because the majority of people like more low end torque instead of high end power.

My 1997 STI

So here is the GTRs replacement. It's no GTR, but that's kind of the point. Every time I got into my GTR I risked losing my licence and my job depends on having it. Plus now that I have a family it just isn't the car for me anymore. In comes the STI. Japan imported, about 60k miles on it and nearly ...

Re: crzyone's R32 GTR updates, parts and pics

Well this Skyline adventure is coming to an end. With having a kid and priorities changing in life I am selling the GTR. I'm not out of the car game, might actually be in it even more so. I am trading for a 1997 Subaru STI Type R and cash on the other guys end. With having the FD as a summer toy and...

160k miles on my cummins turbo, and it sees 20-30psi boost regularly.

Re: 2015 GOLF GTi runs low 13's

Impressive. I could only get my 400bhp GTO to 13.9 at around 106mph with our altitude and air conditions. Guys near sea level were getting high 12s I think. Pretty impressive to run a 13 nearly flat with an economical hatch.

FD RX7 has everything you want and still looks sexier than most modern cars.

Way better looking and better handling than any kraut car.

Re: Big Bored Throttle Body & a Posi Unit for a 5 speed Getr

I had 280whp (315ish flywheel) with my N* fiero and it wouldn't spin the tires in 1st gear unless I dumped the clutch. I agree, you need better tires. Run something like an RE-11 in something a little wider like a 255 and you'll hook all day long. I was running harder FK-451s in 245 and never spun t...

Re: $70,000 budget for a car, go!

1989 GTR modded to the max. You can buy them with the 25 year rule and have an ample budget to modify it. Newish is relative, most of the Skylines are at or below 60k miles so that shouldn't be much of an issue. Buying one that has most of the mods already done to it is a bonus since we never get ou...

Re: arns dynos his 4.9 carb 4 spd

A N* isn't that much work to put in a fiero and it makes over 100 more whp. Why are guys still using 4.9s? I'm sure the price of a N* is probably on par with a 4.9, it's an old engine now as well. Most scrap yards don't even want them because they are aluminum. That's how I got mine actually.

Re: Let's see your guns!

Frigin sweet man, that is a sexy gun. I'd buy an AR but I think I mentioned already in this thread that I don't really want a restricted rifle. Restricted meaning I can only take it to the range and back, and our range is only 100 yards so not that great. I don't mind it for hand guns though, the ra...
