Higher redline, more modern font (the Fiero clusters look toyish to me), I like the needles better, aux gauges are integrated into the cluster, and full custom dashboards look STUPID with the stock Fiero cluster (I'm making a fiberglass dash). I don't like the Sunbird tach. It looks just like the Fi...

sorry it took so long. Almost forgot about this. I still need one. If you need more pics then I can get them. I would like matching tubes but as long as the lenght and the diameter are the same then I will be happy. The one here looks round to me. You said one was like oval? http://www.shaun.saturn...

Shaun, you can find the older Fiero intake hose you have in any junkyard. Thats the most common one you'll see. Just get your but down there and stuff one in your oversized pants. They wont charge you for it. They may look at you funny. Why don't you just go to Home Depot and get some PCV pipe with ...

Ok.. did some more research.. turns out the older Supras used the exact same circuit board and air core as the Grand Am Quad 4 tach.. but more than one resistor value is different. D'oh!

I personally dont' find it hard to pull the engine out the top. However it might be more work overall then just dropping everything. I just like the option of rolling it around if the need arises. With the engine off the cradle it takes just a few minutes to put the cradle it back in the car with t...

88 Grand Am tachometer conversion for V6

I want to use an 88 Grand Am instrument cluster in my 3.4 TDC Fiero. The tach is set up for the Quad 4, and the circuit is not the same as the Fiero tach so I can't go off the instructions for modifying those. Here's a schematic I drew up real quick. Didn't get all the component values but it should...

They may not add power, but they may restore it if your filter is clogged and plugs and distributor are worn. Before doing any other mods a full tune up is a good idea. Restore the power it had from the factory, then get to adding the more expensive stuff.

You would benefit greatly from the underbody pan I really wish I had time to finish before I go off to school (I miiigghtt be able to but depends on how soon my motor is done). It could direct air into your intercooler and not let it into the engine bay any other way. Also cleans up air under the ca...

Normally aspirated, I think the highest number for a 3.4l OHV Fiero is just over 200whp. Now considering the DOHC in a Lumina is the exact form as it is in the Fiero, the highest n/a we have seen is 257whp, and that is on stock cams, stock block, stock intakes, stock exhaust manifolds. It has porte...

I was saying that your post was accurate. Another thing I forgot to mention to the swapper. I dont think there is an off-the-shelf flywheel that works with the 3800 and a manual transmission. You have to have one modified. More $$$$. The 3.4 DOHC swap is also much better documented. If I could do ei...

Aaron's just about on the money there, literally. However, manual or automatic is gonna make a beeeeg difference. I realize you have a 5 speed now, but do you still want one with the 3800SC or whatever else you decide to do? It's going to be more expensive. Keep in mind need a $300 clutch setup mini...

I wouldn't say poly bushings are too harsh for a daily driver. The additional fine feedback you get from the road surface is absorbed by your seat cushion and ass anyway.

BTW if Darrel doesnt have solid bushings anymore, you can still get them from WCF and probably others..

Umm.. keep in mind the 84-86 4cyl intake tube is completely different from the 87-88 one...

84-86 has an oval cross section and made of thin material with many pleats... 87-88 is round and made of stiffer material and has a larger cross section...
