Re: I woke up to this idea

They wont cause it will be Faster than your Fiero! It will also help to increase GM's debt, screw up their universal fuel mileage numbers (have to have an average certain number for fuel mileage for all of their lineuo excluding 3/4 and up chassis), and there would be no point. Dodge made the SRT-10...

Front spring sources

Has anybody tried playing with different front springs from other cars on the front of a Fiero? How about Chevette springs? I wonder what chevette spring rates are compared to a Fiero?

Re: 84 duke, auto ive got pwr to the inj. solinoid but wont work

later it calms down to about 900 rmps, is this normal? Of course not. Volts look good. You really only need a fusible link in line with the ECU power, the others I wouldn't worry about that much. I have subjective views on wire gauge. Glad you got things sorted out. :) The duke reving high when col...

Getting more camber on front 84-87

What have people done to get more negative camber on the front suspension of the 84-87 Fiero's? My Fiero is lowered, I have new MOOG Problem Solver upper ball joints with the extra degree adjustment, poly bushings, and 17" rims with P205/45R17 tires. When I autocross, the inside edge of my fron...

Re: 84 duke, auto ive got pwr to the inj. solinoid but wont work

I had a dud ECM on my 84 Auto Fiero when I got it, the IAC motor circuit on it was gone, one of the capacitors or something had literally exploded, making the IAC not work cause the ECM could not work it, I got an ECM from another 84 Auto, and it was alittle different, the thing that exploded was no...

Re: 84 duke, auto ive got pwr to the inj. solinoid but wont work

Does your tach register a RPM when cranking? If not, then there is your problem, no RPM refrence from the ignition module, could be yours is missing, or defective. If the ECM does not know the engine is cranking or at any RPM, it will not turn the injector on. I think the 84 ignition modules have a ...

Most, if not all of the 84 fusebox is different, it is arranged differently, and there are fuses for different circuits.

Re: crzyone's R32 GTR updates, parts and pics

I think you should paint your calipers or clean them up somehow to match the shiny new brake rotors. Looks good, when are you going to start racing it? Any auto cross events planned? I needs to have me a ride in this beast, if it has a passenger seat.

Re: Does anyone know how to test a fuel pump on a 1984 2.5 ?

I do believe the ECM grounds the wire for the injector, which means your injector should have 12V at one of the wires all the time when the ignition is on, and the other wire goes to the ECM. If you are not getting 12V at one of the wires with the igniton on, I would check fuses, I cant remember if ...

Re: S-10 5.8L

Again I'm reminded why I love EFI. The damn thing has developed a lean surge with this cold weather, I'm going to have to open up the Q-Jet, adjust the APT screw, change the primary rods, reassemble it, then readjust the idle mix, then idle speed, and maybe even play with twisting the distributor. ...

Re: Airbox help?

Use a big 3" or 4" PVC pipe to go over each bank, and cut holes in the bottom to go to the TB's, just have to figure out how to connect from that to the TB's, unless you can use boots that connect motorcycle throttle bodies to the airbox. Then you have 2 plenums that you can either join in...

Kick it.

The dead voltmeter may be a disconnected wire or a dead gauge. Depends on how it is wired.

Re: Another Ford WTF.

Other things to consider is the transmission might be strong, but stuff like efficiency. In a Mustang, it is moving a light car, on an Explorer and other trucks, it is hauling around 2X the weight, in stop and go driving, maybe the transmission gets hot and fails from hauling the weight?

The 335 would be neat, only because people would be like WTF is a 335?

What about that 4.3L V8 from the Caprice's of the 90's? I dont know what aftermarket or anything about them, but it would be different.

Re: a L67 in a 98 mitsubishi eclipse ?

Dont the mitsubishi Eclipse's with the mitsu motors run backwards from most others? On a normal FWD car, the engine is on the passenger side of the engine bay, and the transmission is on the drivers side. On the Eclipse's that I have seen, and most Honds's, the engine is on the drivers side, and tra...
