Re: Anti-Whaling Boat Loses Bow To Japanese Ship

Looks like it went to Davy Jones locker while they were towing it - it'll serve a better cause as an artificial reef, I think. http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/national/3215847/Crushed-anti-whaling-ship-Ady-Gil-sinks LOLOLOL: "The Japanese harpoon vessels stayed close by but offered no assi...

Anti-Whaling Boat Loses Bow To Japanese Ship

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dXCR9LX-Kc&feature=player_embedded Regardless if what you think of the Japanese whaling in this day and age: - First off, what kind of art-fag boat name is "Ady Gil"? - How hard were the employees of the boat yard that built that thing laughing when the ...

Re: starting my 5.3 with pics

Maybe not a LS7, but a build like it. What I'm getting at is why have 5.5l and 7500rpm when you can have 7 liters and 7,000rpm? Not just that, but I've seen more than a few 7 liter LSX blocks rev well past 7. You're going to need an LS7 block shortblock, or to sleeve out a non LS7 block. Haven take...

Re: Boost Alternative 3.4 DOHC

I believe some guy just threw down a mid 13 on one of the newer pushrod engines 3500? Even if it had less WHP and some of the DOHC's I could believe it. Once you take apart a 3.4 DOHC, you'll see that it was the result of compromise. The biggest problem with the damn thing is how much extra stuff th...

Re: Trip to BC 1400KM

Steven and I both notice climbing the grade at 4000Ft to Tehachapi. 7 or 10K must be brutal. Hey Befarrer, I have the same engine with 5 speed (but 94') awaiting inspection/install in my other car... How are you measuring MPG? Km/L? I was lining up a replacement for my worn out duke when I realized ...

Re: So why the hell are we still going to Copenhagen?

So if everybody believes that trees and such aren't taking carbon out, then they must believe they're not putting O2 back in the air. Can we consider air a non renewable resource? Who wants to trade air?

Re: EVAP for a race car

Yeah, the way I currently have mine set up, I have the evap can hanging down in front of the passenger rear wheel liner - under where the battery used to sit. Out of sight, out of mind, and you can get rid of that ridiculous line going across. I think it really solves more problems than it creates. ...

Re: EVAP for a race car

I wouldn't run it to vacuum, unless you want to risk crushing your fuel tank if the gas cap doesn't work, or inhaling slugs of liquid gas... From the amount of pressure that builds up in my tank, I think my vent line is blocked at the fuel pump hanger... Seems to run fine that way though it'll build...

Fastback86 - You know, the thought did cross my mind, and I considered limiting my statement to cases, if any, where few American workers benefit. But I think you're right - few "imports" are really imported at all anymore in this day and age. *If* it helps American workers, I'm more for i...

Re: Government stupidity

Yeah the C4C program was complete, and utter bullshit. Nothing like making every junker worth 4500 bucks, so no car yard in the country could get their hands on a single running engine. Not to mention it could have been a GREAT source of still running, serviceable engines to replace clapped out, smo...

I like this one cuz the media got all butt hurt that Audi was supposedly knocking on environmentalism, which when it comes down to it, I guess they're saying their diesel is pretty green, just not slow.
