I have been using an Optima Red Top battery in my car for the past 6 years with no problems at all. Did you make sure the new battery was fully charged before you used it? When you mounted the starter motor did you make sure to reinstall the shim(s) that were on it? If it isn't spaced properly it w...

"Click" no start... 3800SC 5Speed

Just got my engine swap done, and drove it about 2 blocks and the car died on me. Alternator mest up, and lost all power. So, I took it home and recharged the battery over night and hook up the loose alt wire. Now, when I turn the key all I hear is a click (starter trying to turn over, then just buz...

Alternator Pulley Help!

Whats the secret to getting the alternator pulley off? Finishing up my 3800SC swap and need to put a 6 rib pulley from the GTP alt on the stock Fiero alternator which is a 5 rib.

Thanks, Ryan

SHE RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!11one

Started up the 3800SC Fiero tonight for the first time, and HOLY SHIT IS IT LOUD!!!! OPEN HEADERS FTW!!! It's not drivable yet because i'm still waiting on a alt bracket which should of been here 2 days ago... but I wanted to see if it would start. So I turned the key half way and had a fuel leak, f...

Would have been better if someone was sitting in it, Jackass- style. We thought about finding a stray dog or a homless person and putting them in the cart, but then firgued that would be to mean lol. If you had done that with a dog, I'd come out and stomp you. If you can talk the residentially chal...

Yeah, it looks like it's in good shape. I'd probably pay $1K for it if I were in the market, but not more as long as the rod knock is included. It's a shame to part out a car that's in great shape except for the engine. Yea...after going out and taking another look at the car, don't think I can par...

I think I once picked up THREE fieros that needed engines for $1200. Can you just park the thing until you have a chance to put a new engine in it or do a 3400 swap? Good for you, I can make over 1500 real quick in parting it out. Body and interior is in very good shape on this car. Has every optio...

F/S or Part out: Clean silver 87GT

Because I can't find a buyer for my 87GT auto, I guess i'll part it out. Really hate to do this because it is a nice clean car. Reason why i'm parting it is because the engine has a very bad rod knock, and I need to fund my 3800sc swap instead of dropping a new motor in this car. Parts that i'm not ...

I have a complete 87GT in Indianapolis that i'm selling. Body panels are in Great shape and so is the interior. The car is silver. Engine has a very bad rod knock. Asking $1,500 for it, or I might be willing to part it out. Video of the rod knock: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e89/greengoblin012...

Just got off the phone with Bobby, the owner of the car. He hasn't made it down to the shop yet to pick up his car or time slip yet. The car is going to be in the shop for another week becuase he's having a MP12SC put on it. He did say the car trapped at 121MPH. NOS was not used on the 10.9 run, he ...

Airbrushing

Anyone on here into airbrushing? I start my airbrushing class next and debating whether or not I want to try it on the Fiero or how I want to paint it. After seeing this being done at school (LTI) can't wait to start the class. Badass imo One side done on a PT, had a head on collision and quarter pa...

3800SC Fiero runs a 10.90!!!

Just got a phone call from my buddy with a built up 3800SC Fiero GT. Indy Hoosier Performance, the company that has done most of the work on his car, took his car from Indiana to a track in KY along with a 3800 Turbo monte carlo. The Fiero ended up smoking a Viper running a 10.90 on the first run. T...

Fiero Getrag to Beretta Getrag

My getrag 5speed grids very bad going into 3rd gear, so i'm converting to a Beretta getrag. Was wondering how/if you change over the shifter braket, where the cable ends connect to. Looks like the arm on the beretta is welded to the shaft, and the fiero one is just bolted on. Also the Fiero one is t...
