Re: 87 Fastback L47 Chump Car/ Lemons Project.
Did some more math. -The Comp 26123 would be around 67lb at the seat (1.400), but its higher rate would be 193lb open pressure (.390lift) with my cams, bind is at .500" lift. -The Comp 26113 would be around 125lb at the seat (1.400), but its lower rate would be 200lb open pressure (.390lift) wi...

Re: Saab '03-'04 6 speed ratios & RPO
Ive recieved the saab transmission last week. I verified that in 1st gear, it took 14.75 turns to roughly get 1 full rotation of the output.

Re: 87 Fastback L47 Chump Car/ Lemons Project.
I really don't think my shimmed valve springs are going to cut it with these cams. I've browsed Comp's master catalog and I think the 4.6L 32V mod motor springs are a match for the LQ1 motors. Stock specs seem identical to what I have seen on the internet for the 3.4L. I'm going to have to see how t...

Everything I have seen says the Regal GS is using a 3.762 on the LTG engine
Anything on the smaller turbo motors is the M32 that I have seen. .

Re: Saab '03-'04 6 speed ratios & RPO
It would appear the FV2 ratio (4.120) is from a Sonic. However that's not an F40 gearbox, its am M32 . I doubt it was used stateside, probably on some Opel Wagon or Vauxhall Delivery Van.

GM published this file (11_F40_MR6.xls) for the 2012 F40. All the ratios I can find are on here.

Re: Project Stupid Ferrari (Formerly: Another Awesome V8 swap?)
I have PDF copies of the Ferrari workshop/owners manuals from the 308-430. Chassis data is included in the 308, if your interested. Unless you already have them.
I would also be interested in running the Ferrari suspension geometry through the lotus raven software, which I have installed.

ALL WHEEL DRIVE ADOPTION The transmission housings are reinforced and elongated for bigger clutch size, 250 mm. The differential is upgraded concerning size and material in order to withstand higher output torque for AWD system. Im assuming the larger clutch diameter and elongated housing added for...

Re: Saab '03-'04 6 speed ratios & RPO
I am just about to pull the trigger to on a 9-3 F40 to build my best I-could-do six speed combo, we will find out if they are compatible throughout the years. Anything post 2009 I am assuming will not be, since it looks like GM changed the Diff and Clutch to larger diameters, doesn't matter to me, s...

I've done the swap, its super easy, if you have a 5 speed car.
Wiring, and exhaust is all it really takes. all the ancillary stuff I made work with some creative grinding and pieces from the Fiero and 3.4 engine.
My engine is/was a 96.
Do you have an ECU/harness?

Scatter shields exist for Hondas.
SFI reqiurments are pretty basic. If I recall its a minimum material and thickness.

Pretty easy, draw one up and I can plasma it out and bend it up for you in a weekend.

Its huge, I haven't measured it.
somewhere around 1000in^3 is my guess
My reasoning for so big, see SAE 2008-01-3007, bigger was better by a great amount.
