Nothing on the right side. Remember, I told you about that. The left side is braced.. and get this: Not only is the trunk pulling away from the frame, but I just noticed a FRACTURE in the dogbone.... heh :uhoh: I am going to take care of this one day. You're going the Michael Smith path(dogbone)? I ...

Thanks for the compliments guys. certainly supply pics of the dogbone. That idler looks about an inch of clearance to the strut tower, kinda close. I'll take some more pics when I get a new dogbone built. I'm currently using my old one and its pretty ugly. I didn't have time to make the new one bef...

I hope you're not dealing with VATS because if you are you are running a 94-95 pcm. If that's true, then you will need the 94-95 cams with bip for the cam sensor, plus a cam sensor and both cranks hooked up.

Please varify which PCM you are running (ECM #).

No, you can't cut the wire.... Aaron you know better. The ECM has to have input at the right frequency. The easiest way around this is turning off the VATS on the prom. Why would that be the problem if you could crank it before though.

Cut it behind the crimp. Double flare it with a fitting. Have a piece of steel braded hose (or rubber hose - not recommended because of heat) made with the right size fitting. That line is wound under the front suspension; not a fun choir of removing.

http://img510.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1000590wu0.jpg Knock sensor? I seem to recall the knock sensor having an orange wire, but check it non the less. The single green wire is the coolent temp wire that goes to the back of the sensor on the head. Looks like its broken away from the sensor, you ma...

Does anyone have a Cam sensor for a 3.4 DOHC

I am trying to find a used sensor as the new sensors cost at least $80. The local yard has already been picked over. Series, Sappy, SlownSteady.. anyone?

I am stranded without it.

Sorry Will, I was pissed from working outside and not getting it fixed, then walking a mile back to my dorm to log in and get a reply like "go sell your car kid because you don't have 'real' tools." The car was built in a garage with more than $30,000.00 of tools at our disposal, and the e...

I pulled the Cam sensor on the top of the cam carrier. I can't get to the crank sensor without some sort of lift.

It may be a possibilty that the engine smashed the harness when jerking around. I need a multimeter SO BAD. I guess I have work cut out for me tomorrow.

More input is WELCOME.

DOHC wizards

Hi, I just killed it finally. The car is a 1988 Fiero with a '95 LQ1. Recently the Cam sensor has been throwing a code and and the motor is Jerking violently when I try to feed it more than 35% throttle in 1st gear. The problem isn't as bad when I start in 2nd and give it a good run, but it still je...
