Re: Post your current stable of cars and toys!
I'm down to two cars at the moment: My main car is my 2011 WRX. It doesn't have much in mods; tune, catback, intake, and wheels. I do plan on a few more upgrades in due time. (I have since tinted the windows, tails, and plasti-dipped the front bumper vents.) http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m221/a...

Re: Got 3/4 of what you were looking for Steven!
It has a blow off valve? Or are you just hearing the wastegates open. Usually diesels don't have a blow off valve. I don't know tbh. I know diesels usually don't have a bov, but maybe you might have to vent some boost when you are above 50psi. I don't think I saw one though. I'll have to ask. Cool....

Re: Got 3/4 of what you were looking for Steven!
One of my friends should have a video of it. The BOV on it sounds awesome! I'll see if I can get it. He actually built the car himself for a customer. The customer had it for a few years and he bought it from the guy. He has his own fab business here in MI- Whitbread Performance Innovations. Here's ...

Re: Trade my RX8 for an E36 M3?
Good, I was really hoping for some varied opinions. It's funny because at first thought, I didn't an E36 M3 and RX8 compared well, but after researching them, I have actually found that they are rather similar. The RX8 is more nimble and a bit slower in a straight-line where the M3 makes up for that...

Re: Trade my RX8 for an E36 M3?
Do you want to spend a lot of time to get that car back into "new" driving condition? It's a nicer car than the Mazda in my opinion, but I don't like the way the suspension sounds. It may need more than an alignment, and if the rotor is warped, bushings might be shot, etc etc. That's the ...

Trade my RX8 for an E36 M3?
I have had my RX8 up for sale a bit and recently had someone bring forth an intriguing trade offer. Here's links to both my RX8 and his M3 http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/4036298766.html http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/4092055530.html We have exchanged a number of back and forth e-mails ...

Yes, quite the awesome movie. It's been awhile since I went into a movie with fairly high expectations and came out pleased. If you want to watch another cool car movie, download 'Easier Said Than Done- A Rally Documentary'. Here's a Youtube link to the Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xRioP...

My Fiero used an NGK AFX wideband and I was quite happy with it. The only issue with it is that it is though to find a place to mount the box.

Re: 262's 1970 GMC
The atlas makes good power and torque, and should get decent economy, and be more unique, it's what I intend to use in the truck. I sometimes like doing things people tell me not to do. I wasn't saying 'not' to do it, I made my post more as an informational type of post as I didn't know whether you...

Re: 262's 1970 GMC
Why not go 5.3? I would think that there are far more of them available and probably cheaper, plus you then have the whole LS-based aftermarket to work with.
Good luck with whatever way you go. I like seeing modern powerplants in classic pickups.

It's in his build-thread. http://www.fiero.com/forum/Forum3/HTML/000123-23.html The trip down the car averaged 29mpg again... breaking the 30 mpg mark is looking to be difficult. On the first day of LS Fest, I was able to do ten 1/4 mile runs and six passes on the autocross track. Overriding theme i...

I believe Dan, FieroFlyer makes them as well. I don't know anything about the quality though.

Re: Track Days in the DOHC Fiero
Well if it feels that much different right from the driver's seat, I would imagine that you are putting a fair bit of downforce on the rear. I guess it's time to pick up another trunk to add a wing to.

Re: Track Days in the DOHC Fiero
Steven, what kind of track improvement do you think your aero mods have done? Would you be able to quantify it somehow? Maybe at a track day you could run one session with the splitter and wing on and one without and compare the difference. I'm really curious to the difference as I'm considering som...
