Re: sluppy123 aluminium front hubs
It appears that sluppy123 only answers messages when he has good news, otherwise, radio silence. After some unanswered messages, sluppy123 told me last Thursday that he received the raw material: 1.png On Monday, he told me the replacement hub was done: 2.png So it may show up, possibly... I don't ...

Re: rear sway bar?
Thanks for the replies, at this point, I drive the car alot, but if I can make it corner better with such a simple add on, then I don't want to leave that off the table.

My 85 has an 88 rear cradle, but I never have had the rear swaybar on it. is it worth trying to find one (or a swaybar period) and install it? for reference: 85 SE Front: Will's Anti dive setup Spherical bearing LCA's poly bushings in the UCA's stock springs Koni Reds 2" drop spindles addco(?) ...

Re: progress on the banshee...
I plasma cut the test flange today, it matches almost perfectly, I'm going to make a few minor changes, like slightly undersizing the inside of the ports, and strategically oversizing parts of the outside of the ports and then have a pair laser cut. I would cut them myself, but it's not economically...

Re: progress on the banshee...
glue is an interesting idea that I hadn't considered. welding to the stock lower is problematic for 2 reasons, one, it's used, but two, getting the torch into the spots needed to weld is problematic. I considered removing more material from the lower to make access for the torch, but by the time you...

Re: progress on the banshee...
over the past month I've been daily driving the Fiero, I probably shouldn't be, but i have been... lol. I'm getting the startup and warmup fueling dialed in way better than I had been living with in the past. I also started playing with a few other things, for the new engine, I will need new lifters...

Re: Splayed Valve Heads Porting
for a long time I've been considering building a custom intake, sometime this past week, I took a head I had sitting in the garage and put it in a bandsaw and cut it up for research, while this is a LX9 head and not an LZx head, I figured it was worth posting the pictures here, a thread about canted...

the ball joints in the front axle are all messed up, so I've been slowly moving forward with getting the Dana 60 ready to go in, on the list of important stuff, I needed single rear wheel hubs, I picked up a set a while back. Since a new axle will be going in, I'm going to go ahead and put new brake...

Re: WK Grand Cherokee Diesel
Thanks! Of course my next question was going to be "Which one actually works?", but you gave a good answer already! Any idea what that cleaning solution is? Just Purple Power without the purple? I'm not sure if the ultra sonic action, or the hot solution does more, but either way, it can ...

I'm also looking at getting a ~30L eBay/Offshore ultrasonic cleaner to dealing with some of these icky grimy parts that will come off the Jeep. you absolutely will not regret a decision to do so. this solution seems pretty bang up as well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KK6KR3Z?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2o...

Re: 'ole bobby. (a boring M&R thread.)
Praise the lowered! https://i.imgur.com/AIPGUto.jpg I intend on raising the front end to match the rear, when I installed the stock torsion keys, I left them all the way low, because it seems like it's easier to adjust up, than down. I did leave the lower control arm bolts loose so that it would adj...

Re: '88 wheel bearing and hub upgrades
That's a very valid reason to not want the handle! April 26th you posted this in my build thread after I replaced my wheel bearings: The Timkens, like all other aftermarket wheel bearings for the Fiero, are junk. In track use they have been known to break off at the flange. On the street, longevity ...

Re: '88 wheel bearing and hub upgrades
I personally would prefer the mechanical parking brake, are the electric units lighter? I can't imagine them being lighter than a cable, but I could be wrong.

I don't think most of the trucks got the 4 point bleed. I did consider it, but I also don't think it's really necessary, if it was, GM would have installed it factory. of course I say that and I'm looking at buying this... https://www.glennsautoperformance.com/collections/best-selling-products/produ...

Re: '88 wheel bearing and hub upgrades
the rears look fantastic! are you considering production of them? I've been slowly working on a design of my own, but I am much more impressed with what you have come up with! does it have provisions for a parking brake?

Re: 'ole bobby. (a boring M&R thread.)
I've spent the past week or so working on the truck, progress has been ludicrously slow, but it's still progress. I'm not sure what I was trying to document with this picture, but in it, you can see that the engine had a healthy layer of funk both inside and out. you can see that the intake ports we...

Re: 'ole bobby. (a boring M&R thread.)
parts have been rolling in, some of the stuff, I opted to get OEM parts for, mostly internal parts like the oil pump, and timing set, some of the stuff I went aftermarket. The new headlights I ordered were OEM style repops off amazon, they are a massive improvement to say the least. the taillights w...

I was able to datalog the DBW fault, it was the Accelerator Position Sensor. I have a new one on order, the one in the car was a junkyard part out of a fleet vehicle with unknown miles, hopefully the new one resolves any further issues that I have. in other news... not that it's much progress, but I...
