I'm not. I went to the 20th and it was cool, but I'm not quite as much into Fieros now. I'll be interested to see if this show is bigger or smaller. I'm guessing it'll be smaller.

You're actually doing exactly the right thing by spending more on the glass than on the body. The kit lens at 18mm will be about equivalant to the wide end of your point and shoot so if your SD1000 isn't wide enough then the kit lens won't be better. That 10-22 would be perfect.
