Its not stock but assembling a honda engine ist exactly rocket science. I would recommend the SC61 over the 60dash1. I will plot both though. Honda B16 with 2 bar of boost from a T67. Dood! theres gotta be more than a 1.6L and a turbo for those kinda numbers... ...I just cant wrap my head ar...

I also have a copy of the Hugh MacInnes book which was written about ten years before the Corky Bell book. It lists VE in its example at 80%. No explanation there either. Ray Halls website has the following for VE: VE: Engine Volumetric Efficiency in percent. VE changes with engine RPM, a engine at ...

Mainly because Corky is calling the ford small block .85 and I dont think the 2.8 design is that much worse. Now, I have no clue where Corky pulled numbers from. I agree that it is a rule of thumb, but want to get these numbers as true to life as possible. Why not? do you think that's too low? . .. ...

I know the T3s are very popular on Old Europe despite warnings from Shaun and myself that they are bad news on a 2.8. So that was the first thing I ploted: http://www.howard.saturnet.net/turboInfo/t3-s60PLOT.jpg What those dots at the end of the line are are where the turbo would end up at redline. ...

Lets talk turbos
Lets talk turbos. I figured we could get some good tech talk going here since we really have some of the best from the other forum and we’re starting to get a pretty good signal to noise ratio. I’m not presenting anything here as gospel. If I’m wrong, I’d like to find out sooner then later s...

I hear its illegal in some states on this side of the border for mechanics to antiseize those threads. I dont antiseize my wheel stud threads for fear that the bolt might back off. YMMV. It's probably not how tight they were torqued that made them so hard to get off, it was probably corrosion which ...

http://www.howard.saturnet.net/suspension/scrub_radius.JPG When you change the offset of the wheel, you are moving that green line that intersects the ground either in or out. That is what people talk about when they talk about changing their scrub radius. http://www.howard.saturnet.net/suspension/...

I KNOW you didnt just bring a term into this discussion from SCC. For those of us that dont read Sport Compact Car, Caster Trail is the distance betweent the center of the tire s contact patch and where the line through the ball joints intersects the ground. I am curious where you are getting data f...

Re: Need some "turbo cam" info / help
Overlap baaad. Corky Bell writes that It is hard to find a turbo cam that works better than the stock item. He also writes that turbo cams should be low duration, low overlap. Having written that, I know honda guys are making more power switching to Integra R cams from GSR or Si ones. Not 4 or 5 hor...

I am fully aware of the deep pockets that Dow Jones have. I had a call into IT there tuesday. I have a couple hundred megabytes worth of evidence. It is pretty boring. Really bad attempt at a distributed denial of service attack. I originally thought it might have been something more sophisticated. ...
