Re: Lz9 + 4 spd manual trans in 86 GT swap

Thanks! Made another sample, this one was almost spot on, except for the vertical member going to the block was still too long, I forgot to correct it when I made the other changes yesterday. https://i.imgur.com/5N65H4y.jpg Can you tighten up the slots? Do you have enough clearance in the hole for t...

Re: Lz9 + 4 spd manual trans in 86 GT swap

Hi, Are you able to share drawings so we can print them out and do some mock-ups? Also, how are you planning to have these manufactured? Waterjet, steel sheets and welding? Something else? Happy to have a chat offline if it's easier. Thanks. There have been several small revisions, I'm almost ready ...

Re: organization techniques

For lean six sigma, I learned using post it notes on a wall sized sheet of butcher paper. You can move the notes around if you need to change the process or reprioritize. You can use different color notes to represent different workflows. You can take the butcher paper off the wall and roll it up if...

Had the same thought which is why we are trying to source an 88 bracket.

I must have gotten my wires crossed about which bolt hole is there and which is moved on the GenIV blocks then.

What else is the bracket attached to? One bolt ain't gonna work.

Re: rear sway bar?

Full disclosure, I've attended a number of vehicle dynamics classes, but never really saw it presented this way, where it makes most sense to me in my mind so this may be completely off the mark. If you think of the anti-roll bar as a spring that only works in one axis of the vehicle... And if you l...

87 GT 2.8 V6 Engine Parts

Does anyone on here need any parts from a stock 2.8?

It's mostly whole at this point. The intake has a vacuum port that snapped in transport. I know people like the later v6 intakes.

Happy to accept best reasonable offers here before offering elsewhere.

Re: sluppy123 aluminium front hubs

A good friend of mine has a pretty serious CNC setup for producing aftermarket jeep parts if you ever want an introduction for an alternative producer. He'd agreed in principle to produce a pair of my updated/improved design for multi-pattern hubs to go along with Street Dreams lowering spindles. I ...

I'm glad you're OK. That looks like it could have been really bad. If you can, I would try to find work that isn't nightshift. And if you're not feeling up to the drive, it sucks but sometimes you just have to book the hotel. I would try to charge that back to your employer or client. I worked wacky...

Will? Just kidding :-D We picked up a F40 over in Tampa back in like April that just made it to him yesterday.

In all seriousness, they are out there in the yards if you keep an eye out. If you spot one out in Florida and they won't ship it for you, happy to lend a hand while I have an SUV.
