Re: Amanda Knox
The slander charge was taking it too far. Very petty, but sometimes people forget that there is a consequence for everything, even the spoken word. I doubt her parents are too worried, considering they're chilling in Washington state right now. I'd put the odds of the US extraditing for a slander ch...

That cage/rust was unreal. I'm not sure what he was thinking taking it back to the same guys, though. I always wanted a '68 Z28 done up in a similar fashion.

Re: AR Build
Got a Daniel Defense rail system! It's a used 9" instead of the 10" that I was planning on, but it was also only $240 shipped with a bunch of other stuff included. There still seems to be something missing though :unknown: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/FastIndy/AR/DSC_0691-1.jpg

About 0 ~ 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 depending on temperature.
Or about 3,000 to 15,000 Ohms if you're looking for a helpful answer.

Guy brought this in to a fundraiser car show I was working at. Same guy also brought a brand new GT3 RS. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/FastIndy/36fabcf7.jpg I was there for several hours, so iwas able to examine it quite closelyt is easily the best car I've ever seen. Hands down. Had a seat ...

Re: how much would you spend for...
I really just wanted your thoughts on the general value, the fair ratio of $ per percent gain. The only person who can decide that is you. There isn't any desirable ratio. I've probably spent spent a K and several hundred hours chasing around a few so-far-theoretical percent on a setup I'm not even...

Re: Accel / 1/4MI / Everything calculator
Does it compensate for elevation, humidity, barometric pressure, and the color of the driver's socks? Do we get to input the time it takes to shift? Is this manual trans only? And what about tire slip rather than clutch slip? Does it get more accurate if we have chassis dyno results to input? By th...

Accel / 1/4MI / Everything calculator
I got bored one day and started to expand my gearing calculator. It got out of hand pretty fast. It now is basically a 1/4 mile time calculator. Basically it solves the kinematic equations for displacement, velocity, and acceleration in discrete time steps (rather than a differential equation of cou...

Re: HID Retrofit into the Exploder
I've tried to rough-position the projector as close as possible to the stock headlight axis. I'm shooting for a pattern indistinguishable from HID's at a similar mounting height, like on a Cayenne or Escalade. They aren't mounted yet, but the projector will have 4 .25" screws running to stiffen...

HID Retrofit into the Exploder
Having had enough with the stock headlights (or lack thereof), I decided to retrofit some BiXenons out of an E46 into a pair of aftermarket housings that I got on ebay for $50. Scored on a pair of projectors for $60. Starting out: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/FastIndy/121eb10b-1.jpg after s...

Re: Lifted the Exploder
The '97 Ex/Mounties had about 35 million different drivetrain options. There was SportTrac 4wd, AWD, 2WD, and regular 4WD. Mine has a switch on the dash with three positions, Auto 4Wheel, 4Wheel HI, and 4Wheel LO. In Auto, if the PCM senses rear wheel slip it will modulate a multi-plate clutch in th...

Re: Lifted the Exploder
The transfer case was really pretty easy. I didn't do any machining. The bores that the shift shaft rides in were starting to oval (a known problem with the Borg Warner 4405 cases), and I probably should have bored them out and bushed them, but I'm hoping to not be DD'ing this thing by the time it f...
