Went to Nextel shootout last night. Videos
I had passes last night to the Nextel shootout in Daytona so I thought I would go and check it out. This is my second year going and its pretty fun. It sure wears you out though. I got there pretty early in the day around 2 or so and the Nextel shootout didnt' start till like 8 or so. So needless to...

I can't compare to a 4.0 swap but I will say the n star swap is not that difficult to do. I have some experience helping put Jon's in. You can use a Aftermarket aluminum flywheel from spec or have a flywheel redrilled. Mounts are just like any other engine swap. You need to bolt the engine and trann...

if you were going to use a 3.1 crank there are Hyper pistons on the market that you could use for a 3.4 iron head pushrod that would prob give you compression around 8.7:1 or so. It has a dish of around 10 cc's and with a 52 cc head chamber on a 3.4 that works out to about the stock compression rati...

Hehe. Fine Donk. Then, use a Y-block after my regulator(it's a return style, so that saves some trouble), mounted on the driver's side somewhere. Then just run them like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/FastIndy/EFI/InjectorLine1.jpg It's a good thing I'm better at plumbing than Paint. O...

I want to say the aluminum flywheel for the v6 weighs in around 8-9 pounds. Hmmmm I always thought the v6 flywheel was more then 14 pounds but then again I never weighed it so I will take Will's word for it. Howeve dropping 5 pounds is a considerable amount. I plan on using one someday. I could care...

Re: Flexible lines to large injectors?
. How do you think flexible lines would behave compared to a fixed system? Would there be adverse pulsation? What are other options? Being pretty is something to consider, too. I've been getting bored with the run of the mill thinking over on the other side. Nate Flex lines would have no adverse af...

I think that since you are going to tackle this job int eh spring you can get by with just a quick coating of rust proof paint. That will stop the rust for the time being till you get to work on it in the spring. Its most likely just surface rust right now. If you plan on grinding it down then just ...

Stock iron head compression is 8.9:1 in the HO models. thast with a .045 gasket thickness. You can use a Aluminum head gasket to drop comporession ratio a bit if you want. That increases quench(I dont' think its really all that important in these turd engines) or you can give the CC a bit of porting...
