Point, but I don't care if she is rocking peanut butter cups, I'd still hit it. Twice, even.

BTW, I'm still curious about the Muncie 4spds if anyone wants to shed any light on those too.

Blah, I meant to say transverse, Front engine, RWD. Exceedingly absurd, but that was the point (that regardless of placement, its still a FWD trans by design). Stupid arguement anyway, so I'm going to let it go before I look any dumber.

Its still a FWD transmission. Whens the last time you saw a transverse engine, RWD car? Hell, the whole Fiero drivetrain is a FWD drivetrain, its just in the back of the car. Funky application doesn't change the design of the trans.

The fact that the 282 was in the back of a Fiero doesn't make it a RWD transmission.

I still didn't actually watch the Oscars, though.

Slightly OT, but as I understand it, the 282 and 284 are Getrag 5spds, the Fiero one and the other FWD one. What is the general opinion on the gearing of the Muncie 4spds? I know the 4.10 is worthless for anything besides roasting tires, but what about the 3.63 and the 3.32? Just as bad as the Getra...

Yeah, esp if you've seen the way Chris West drives that car, and the way other people drove it when he handed them the keys. If any turbo motor should've blown up by now, thats it. But, it takes a lickin and keeps on kickin ass.

Yeah, duh on the Ferrari, I don't know what I was thinking. But the NSX, that looks like a hard car to heel toe. Driver didn't seem to mind, as he didn't even try. Steven noticed the lack of left foot braking too.

Is it just me, or does it seem like neither of those cars are set up for heel-toe? I kinda figured they'd both be better than that, but those pedals looked way far apart.

Thats a fine line, hot shot. 15+mph over the speed limit is a misdemeanor. If anyone gets hurt in any way from your speeding, it becomes a Felony.

I've never done the swap, but from what I've read, its more than just replacing the trans. I believe you need the 4T60 axles, as well as shift brackets and cable.

I believe I know what an STi is capable of. I drove that car harder than any car I've ever driven before. I went from a standstill to 140, everyday, then proceeded to drive the car to its limits through the Ranch. In a "CLIENT'S" car? How stupid are you? If I were ever foolhardy enough to...

The "e" stands for "electronic," meaning the transmission is controlled by the ECM. The non-"e" trans is just a standard hydraulic automatic trans. You can use the 4T60 on an otherwise stock Fiero. To use a 4T60E, you need a later model ECM that can control it. Typicall...

April 29, I'm there. I'll be at the races at Laguna the following weekend to, but I'll be working (SCCA Volunteer) if anyone wants to come say hi. Should check and see if they're doing a "Fan Parade Lap" at this one, they were last year and Jeff and I got pretty good pics of our cars on th...
