Well my swap has been slowed by a combination of lazyness and customer cars, anyway thought I'd post my home brew fuel rails.

Re: 88 brake master
I don't know the math, but i did the S10 brake booster on a 12" rotor stock brake 88 and I can't explain it other than when I or anyone has pressed on that brake pedal, it just feels like pressing the brakes on a car built within the last 10 years. I cant say it brakes harder or what, it just f...

Re: 88 brake master
Why are you wanting to replace the master, are you having issues with it? When I starting getting mine back on the road I Ordered a new master for mine as it just didn't seem like it was applying enough Hydraulic force. While waiting for new flex hoses to arrive I replaced the Brake Booster. I didn'...

My point exactly. We will not find any gain from it.The Dark Side of Will wrote: ↑Tue Mar 15, 2022 11:59 am the dealership noted it also needed a new alternator pulley. I have one, but the access to R&R isn't fun. Alternator still works and I never noticed a problem driving it.

Re: alternator pullies.
Are you a mechanic? If you're a professional wrench-turner, then there may be some observer bias in there... people bring broken cars to the mechanic. Yes and Yes. My point was that in 30 plus years I have never seen a * failed* conventional solid alternator pulley. I have replaced a few de-coupler...

Re: alternator pullies.
I've never replaced a conventional alternator pulley for failure, and I turned wrenches on QUITE a few cars in my time. I have how ever replaced a number of the decoupler pulleys in the relatively short time frame they have found their way's into cars. And then there's the hassle of now making sure ...

Re: 88 L36 swap
Thanks for the nice replies guys. Ya I guess it was kind of ' quick' that's because I let the cash do this which means I just bought everything before hand. I replaced alot of cosmetic stuff right down to all the body fasteners and shit from the Fiero store, I didn't mess with any old fasteners. I d...

Re: 88 L36 swap
. The 4T65E with the 3.05 differential ratio isn't to bad but it seems kind of sensitive on torque convertor lock and unlock at light engine loads. I didn't experiance this in the Regal, possibly it's a mix of Fiero OE tire size and the stock PCM tune. Replying to my own post to add that the Sensit...

Re: 88 L36 swap
So after a long time, like 8 years now this hooptie has been just sitting off to the side letting the elements destroy it, I did drive it very little back in 2014 but since then the collection of Fiero's became more of junk sitting in the way than anything else and I came to the realization I wasn't...

For the Non-HD it is the Fiero Automatic drivers side in the Drivers side and a Fiero Manual Drivers side in the Passenger side.

Re: 3800 swap good buy?
Do you have a link to the ad? First no Fiero weighed 2500 pounds, I believe most V6 models are in the 2800 pound range, add a 3800 and it's transmission that weight rises. I would be concerned about it being a T-top swapped car, how well are they installed? What condition are the seals. As a T-Top o...

Re: 2.8 turbo dyno
305 WHP and 370-something Wtorque out of a boat anchor 2.8 is pretty impressive. I'm not sure why anyone here is trying to compare it to a real car and modern technology....
Would I try to build a 2.8? No, but props to that dude, I bet it's a fun little car.

Still looking Will.......tore that cunt apart about oh 15 years ago, threw it in a box in my shop attic Found everything in the box but the output shaft cluster...... I don't recall throwing any of that out, and I'm quite certain none of that went to Rick for the original build. Have a few 5 gallon ...
