Re: WRX Maintenance
Good work! I had some bearings on an idler pulley go bad on my turbo legacy gt 2.5 back in the day so I thought why not just change them all, the water pump, and timing belt. It looks like a similar design to yours. I had to have my wife hold two cams while the other two fought me while trying to ge...

Re: LZ4 3500 rod info and forged Pistons options.
You going to see what it does NA before applying boost? Or jumping right in? I put a set of my LZ cam bearing spacers and new bearings in this 3500 and I think I am going to give it a rip. See what a cammed lz4 will make power wise. And hopefully make power all the way to 6500 vs falling around 5600...

Re: Double Adjustables on a Fiero??!!
Just saw the questions yesterday.
15.9mm on the Vikings. Vs just under 20mm on oems.
Harbor freight calipers but these measurements should be close enough directionally.
I’ll try to post pictures tonight.

Are you going to buy it? It's not that far from you and an 88... My wife would have a conniption, but at the right price, I may put an offer in on it....

If you stick a sparkplug in the exhaust with fuel coming out the exhaust, you could have budget anti-lag

Re: Salty Thunder Racing @ Lemons
Cool looking car PMB! I've wanted to get to Japan for a numer of years. Closest I got was a business trip to Singapore which I should have taken the long way home through Tokyo instead of flying direct to Newark... maybe next year. My main take-aways on the race setup were: Tire Setup (Azenis 225/25...

Salty Thunder Racing @ Lemons
I thought this was a pretty good article: When I bought my first car, a Toyota MR2, I did so without even considering the United States’ mid-engined alternative, the Pontiac Fiero. On account of its rep for catching fire, being tricky to drive, and popularity with kit car goobers, it's more often th...

Re: Double Adjustables on a Fiero??!!
I ordered for the blue one…. Easy enough to swap out down the road if need be. Especially the fronts.
I am tied up for a bit with other projects so maybe I’ll change my mind if I don’t get them in soon.

Re: Dyno'd the 3.9 turbo on e85. Results
I don’t know much about e85 but pretty interesting how similar the curves are up to 4k or so and how the gas drops off in torque in comparison after there. What are your goals for this car before you put the vortech in or are you looking for the other chassis to build that separately? Congratulation...

I had the opportunity to meet up with Steven and Stimpy(Jeff?). When i was out in San Jose to teach at a conference for work back I want to say in 06. Cool guys. They showed me around the area. We went out to the bay for lunch. Stimpy taught me philosophy… Steven let me drive his beast. This was bef...

Glad to see you are back and doing well! The BMWs look sweet. I looked seriously at doing a BMW a couple times when I was driving to work and sitting in the car for hours and hours before the pandemic. Now everything sits around unless I am taking a road trip somewhere or going to the grocery store.

Re: Bump Stops
I’d like to up the rate and one of the benefits is the suspension should hit the bump stops less…. When it does hit the stop I’d like it to be less on/off so it doesn’t upset the vehicle as much. After waiting a year+ for these Vikings I will definitely be testing the entire range of motion before t...
