I wouldn't say poly bushings are too harsh for a daily driver. The additional fine feedback you get from the road surface is absorbed by your seat cushion and ass anyway.

BTW if Darrel doesnt have solid bushings anymore, you can still get them from WCF and probably others..

Umm.. keep in mind the 84-86 4cyl intake tube is completely different from the 87-88 one...

84-86 has an oval cross section and made of thin material with many pleats... 87-88 is round and made of stiffer material and has a larger cross section...

Whoa dude, I'm not trying to inflate the horsepower ratings my butt dyno comes up with. I want accuracy here. That means decreasing how often it overrates stuff too. I can afford a few candy bars; though I think fattening of the ass will decrease butt dyno accuracy due to the damping of the torque c...

Ass dyno upgrades

It's not as accurate as I would like it to be. What are the best upgrades/mods on a small budget??

The calipers are floating so they can accomodate different rotor offsets.. I guess thats how ours are too now that I think of it

Trying to figure out what they mean here: "Increases the offset from 12-15mm to eliminate the need for a wheel spacer." The wheel gets spaced out an additional 12-15mm? That ought to suck? Those WRXs use like a 48 mm offset stock. I dont know where to find wheels with a higher offset than ...

Just keep a copy of the relevant vehicle code sections in your glove box to show to the officer. You've got to control your rights, man!

Will, are you sure the rear visbility obstruction laws apply if you have both side mirrors? I thought we had the most strict car laws in California and as far as I know we can paint out our rear windows solid as long as we have side mirrors.. EDIT: Found your vehicle code online, it matches ours: Se...

Ok, I was making all these diagrams to try and demonstrate how I understood what was being done, but I think I finally figured it out! I was getting way confused by the diagrams in the 60 deg V6 perf book (they are ridiculously confusing). I was making it out to be way more complicated that it is. I...

That's still not the same as a recirculating system. Besides going to a heater core first instead of going straight back into the motor is it any different? Just run the heater core parallel to the radiator, then, and have the line originally going to the heater core go straight back into the engin...

So if I do end up doing this, am I going to have to modify my oil pump to provide higher pressure if I get the crank crossdrilled? Would you do this to your TDC if you were building one with a redline of 7200 RPM in mind? Another article (older than the Reher-Morrison one; its actually in regards to...

What is wrong with your's ? It's supposed to be "yours". I think if you're not using a proper noun (i.e. a name), the apostrophe indicates that you're shortening a pair of words to one rather than indicating possession... so "your's" would be "your is", just like "...

Ok.. I did some research into crossdriled cranks because my machinist said he could have it done tomorrow if I brought the page out of the GM performance book. Wanted to make sure I really wanted it done.. The general consensus everywhere else seems to be that its a BAD idea, because at high rpms ce...

So the crank needs to be fully crossdrilled? I think I remember reading something about in GM's 60 degree V6 performance book. Definitely going to get this done if there isn't a reason not to.. any disadvantages? Factory didnt do it because the tooling was too expensive or what?

What about the 3.4 DOHC? If not, what do I ask them to do at the machine shop? Any reason I shouldn't?
