Re: High Feature V6 Swap
The GM/SPAL shroud is only 206$ from RockAuto.. Some Griffin/SPAL eye candy... Theoretically the fan, being PWM, can be controlled via the E96 ATS-V ECU which is the same as the C7 Supercharged ECU. Initial cuts to fit Shroud to radiator. Note the top of the radiator is non shrouded just like the C7...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap
Not too much... life went to hell in a hand basket in the last couple of months, NoMad can vouch for that and has been a great friend. I did obtain a Griffin Radiator, same as Steven Snyder's but the 600hp version instead so a little thicker. 2.68". I then purchased an OE GM C7 Supercharged rad...

Re: 5x4.5" on the big GM rear uprights
To have unbreakable outer CV's and hubs on the rear of an '84-'87 Fiero: Sorry...Running an 88... I should have mentioned that..given that this thread was for '84-'87's.. I guess if one were so inclined one could probably rebuild something similar to the Ryan/Held/Arraut/??? bump steer kit to mate ...

Re: 5x4.5" on the big GM rear uprights
In terms of getting their claimed structural results, a lot depends on getting the tolerancing of the joint correct... they didn't make that simple/easy Explain further please.... as this is definitely in 'your' wheelhouse... Working more on the LF3 swap and it keeps nagging that I'll sheer the rea...

Do you think you could CAD up a top and bottom piece to these corvette modular spindles if I bought a pair and/or obtained some measurements?

Re: High Feature V6 Swap
I have Aus Fiero 1/4 panel scoops modified and installed to stick out into the airstream a bit more to get air into the bay so air "in" isn't a problem... it's getting the air 'out' from around a transverse engine, and keeping the trunk, and doing so efficiently with regards to aerodynamic...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap
Still plugging away at this... getting lots of little things done here and there but an hour here and a half hour here doesn't feel like it moving fast enough..... i'm sure many of you can relate. 1.) No pics yet but going with a stock XTS-V vacuum operated boost control actuator and "CAD"...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap
Quick update and discovery... Getting all hoses, clutchlines (auto to manual conversion), turbo oiling and cooling, basic wiring, E85 fuel lines, etc.. in place and installed before final install and turn over... What I wasn't prepared for was that the stock turbo(s), td04's, have vacuum operated ac...

Re: Group buy: Front Lower Spherical Bearing Shells
Will you be ordering a second run of these? If not, let me know if you have anyone back out... Did I miss some communication from you on this? If enough people sign up (was 4 sets this time; I'd like to have a 5 set run to do this again) I'll do another run. Tell your friends! No, "I" dro...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap
I'm routing the single turbo through a Y pipe and then into the new intercooler manifolds. Not ideal I know and once again, hindsight being 2020, I would have pulled the turbo setup off of a CTSV or ATSV. I will be shortening and welding the slip fit connector but still will have to relief the muffl...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap
I'm msweldon on Old Europe. I'm only considering crossing my coolant lines in the front compartment. The coolant lines out of the engine will stay on their respective sides to their corresponding coolant pipe to the front, hot side on PS, cold side on DS while capping off the 88 heater return port o...

Down pipe with expansion chamber and 750hp gesi cat built and temp mounted and camaro lpfp fuel feed line cut and re-tig'd 180deg. New IC manifolds fabbed and test fit with the rear needing modification to clear firewall glass/shelf. Pics to come... However, my question for you guys is to cross over...

1.) Any plans to build these with a 1" or more drop?
2.) What is your bearing cartridge of choice for these?

For the CTSV and ATSV yes, XTSV no, probably due to it being a transverse setup.

Re: Twin turbo LQ1....
These are the OEM twin TD04's in question from my LF3 XTS vSport. They definitely would get the LQ1 moving in the mid to lower mid range of the rpm band.. These are the XTS LF3 TD04s... not the LF3 CTSV and LF4 ATSV TD04s and are sized to get the 4340lb XTS tank moving. From as best I can tell they ...

What size NPT? Can you make your own flanges to bolt to the IC casting, then tap them NPT and install either a street Ell or a NPT to AN 90? No don't have that level of knowledge or machinery on hand. Furthermore, the two inlets per manifold are separated, i.e. one hot one cold and the IC core has ...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap
The first pic has the AW IC Core with the WeaponXMotorsports shortened Water inlet/outlets. The OEM inlet/out is sitting on top of the core. The second pic is the fiero hinge with the white mark illustrating where the hinge contacts the inlet/outlet manifold right at the mating area between the blac...
