The calibration may not be off by a consistent amount due to resonances and intake tract turbulence that change with different engien airflow demands. This is why MAF based engine management still needs to be tuned.
all GMs, or just late models? Are the L98's frequency output? The L98's (Bosch) were a 0-5v analog voltage output. All others were frequency based. To properly calculate airflow, you need to use absolute manifold pressure and temperature along with maps of other engine variables such as volumetric ...
HUH? I asserted the US is Imperialistic, you rejected it, I posted at least 1, maybe 2 different definitions as I recall, you then said that you didn't like that definition of Imperialisma nd ran away from the thread. I put that "debate" down because getting into anything with you is a wa...
That's exactly what I was going to do (except call the Windoze drive D: and the big one C: so that all the crap I install doesn't default to the OS partition), but the Windoze installation disk wouldn't finish formatting a 60 GB partition... So what's available in the area of repartitioning hard dri...
They may be educated... just don't have very critical thinking skills Wow, you've got balls. Are you serious? I realize this isn't about you, Will, but you ignored the common defintion of, "Imerialist" becuase you thought it indicted the USA. Critical thinking requires the deduction "...
Oh, the headwork? Not quite done yet. But if you expect GOOD headwork (Not redneck with a dremel), you also expect a check around 2 grand. I supplied the engineer with 4 heads, he used 2 for cutting into pieces. He then ported them, rewelded the insides, and reported the ports to totally redesign t...
GM MAF's output frequency proportional to flow. However, you'd have to tune with a MAF computer and then use the MAF tables so derived to calculate your VE table... not really practical. MAF tables in MAF computer = VE tables in MAP computer The table equates frequency to airflow... The sensor is su...

Dude, Summit has 3.5" mandrel bends last time I checked.
Aren't you running the 730? What are you using to control the trans? I don't see that the 4T80E would be that much lossier than any other GM transverse auto. There's more mass to spin, but not any more mechanism. You're using stock manifolds, right? I also find it a little tough to swallow that a CA...
300. Through lossy auto tranny = 341 at the crank. I'd probably be putting 300 to the wheels with a getrag... Where'd you get the idea that the auto sucks up 25%? What you have there is about what I would have expected for a 275 engine through a 5 speed. Running 4T60? 440T4? Nice smooth curves... l...
