My transmission is being rebuilt right now, I read the post on Old Europe where you guys were discussing that. I'm installing a new motor, might as well install a new transmission. Piece of mind.

Thanks for that, I had no idea. I just saw how it kept measuring torque after the hp had already maxed out. You would think if it can still measure torque, it should be able to display hp numbers above 1200.

Are the ratios different? With 600hp you would be at redline in 4th pretty quick on a 3.65 4 speed.

I am not overly concerned with shockload, a turbo engine has fairly low torque before the turbo would spool up.

I just did a hp calculation and the peak hp I could find was 1207hp @ redline. Pretty damn impressive. I was just using his torque numbers and rpm.

I just watched the viper dyno that Shaun posted in other cars. I'm wondering what you guys think a Getrag can handle before it breaks. I'm not talking 1/4 mile, or hard launches. I'm thinking from a 40mph roll. Is there any way its going to last at all with say 600hp or so? Someday I would love a tu...

Wasn't this car claimed to have 425hp? 14% drivetrain loss, I guess its realistic.

What do you figure the 1/4 will be? high 12 low 13?

Anyone have a set laying around that they don't need? I need the cables, shifter and slave if possible.

There are a few trucks I know of that had a tank switcher, a mid 80s ford F150 is one of them.

Will you be using an external fuel pump so it works for both tanks?

I am very interested in what it puts down. I would love to see 300 at the wheels, not a huge stretch with a short free flowing exhaust system and no accessories.


Whats different with the 2000+ motors besides the roller cams? I believe the compression is lower so it can run 87 octane?

That measurement is from the outside lip of the balancer, hopefully thats what you needed. It would be slightly smaller on the belt groove.
