Re: The Hunt!/Eric's new dump.

Eric,

just catching up on everything here since last year.... you're right across the border in SC, right? You aren't too far from where the GA Fiero club meets on the east side meetups...

Re: Stronger front 88 bearing/hub options

Just a quick update from me - I did order a set of the Coleman racing spindle adapters for my 88. Picked them up this weekend. They look very sturdy. As draven mentioned, the hub section does extend quite a ways through the wheel, and require a 70mm center bore on the wheel and brake rotor (standar...

Re: High Feature V6 Swap

What I learned with ac flushing

Can't flush drier, compressor, and if any sludge present questionable for evaporator and condenser, especially if recent aftermarket due to pathways being waaay to small as they clog with black death debris.

Re: High Feature V6 Swap

AFAIK, it's due to moisture in system degrading the pag oil thereby deteriorating the teflon in the compressor which then also exposes bare metal with degraded oil then a sludge of metal, oil, moisture, and teflon ensues.... Even though I flushed all the hoses (engine bay to condensor, condensor to ...

Re: The SERIOUS Wheel & Tire Thread

Totally understand bouncing around and having to go with something ballpark, i.e. the moog fronts and then designing from there given the limited spring selection with the front suspension, pre 88 AND 88's and not relying on a "kit" that someone else thinks is the best setup....i.e. steven...

Re: The SERIOUS Wheel & Tire Thread

I'm kind of wondering how the stock Fiero was supposed to work with ~150 lb/in rear springs, though maybe it shouldn't be counted as an example of "what to do". Yeeesh on the search... :-D Ride compliance for the average american driver... (no correlation between your search and that stat...

Very sorry for the loss of your friend. Not to get political etc... but Anecdotal Covid experience for everyone here: I just recently got through Covid last month and am back to 100%. If you or anyone you know contracts it, have them get to a doc-in-the-box, immediate-care, etc.. facility. Earlier t...

Re: Firewall Insulation

My "plan" is to go with a layer of the boating engine bay insulation with an aluminum sheet patterned from a template from fieroGuru. Then polish, brush, lizardskin, or gold foil the aluminum based on the heat my setup produces. Probably lizardskin the other three sides of the bay. Waiting...

Re: Stronger front 88 bearing/hub options

I still have the spindles on a front crossmember with corvette steering rack waiting to go in but I'm in the middle of an engine swap at the moment.. During test fit I did have to hone out the lip on the motegi mr116's that retain the center cap as that interfered with the hub conical section.. just...
