Re: Track Days in the DOHC Fiero
Congrats on moving up to 4. I'm assuming NASA, so you're going to have to apply for a dyno reclass because of the engine swap. I'm curious where they'll base class you. Try to play up how shitty Fieros are...

Re: Track Days in the DOHC Fiero
Nice. I'd love to make it back out to Buttonwillow again. That's where I did my first track day ever. It would be cool to have some times just to see the difference from then until now. Good track minus the desert.

Re: Converting BBQ to natural gas
Yeah, true... I need to get out of the US ASAP...
I'll probably just get RIFed and kicked out of before then anyway. As part of the 25k they're cutting from the Air Force this year, 27 of the 62 eligible from my career field are getting cut.

Re: Converting BBQ to natural gas
Maybe I'm just jealous. I had a whole beef in Cheyenne I was grilling up daily, but since I've got to DC, no more grilling for me. Not again until after Afghanistan...

Re: Converting BBQ to natural gas
Call me lazy, but I would've just bought another tank. It generally lasts a long time.

Re: Track brake pads for the 1988 Fiero
I got the HB100N.480 HP Plus pads since my Porterfield order hasn't shipped yet. They fit the stock 88 Fiero brakes after lightly filing the edges of the backing pads, and drilling out the holes to 6.8mm. However, the pads don't have the nubs/pins for the rear e-brake piston. The backing plates are...

No, that guy doesn't play soccer. I think he worked for the CIA or something.Shaun41178(2) wrote:

Just picked up this today to be used for CCW. S&W Shield. Included the Beretta for size reference.

Oh okay. Yeah, I supposed I could've read that... I definitely need to check this event out. It was nice meeting you at Fairfax the other week. Caddy looks boss and sounds goood. Yeah, you too. I think I might try to make it to Fairfax again this weekend depending on the weather. The Great F...

Since I never posted a picture...
Edit: Just noticed the handgrip isn't all the way back on in the picture. I had it off again to install a different front sling mount, so that has been resolved.

Re: Manual Transmission for my Northstar
My BMW turns 3500 at 80, but it's surprisingly smooth and quiet, I guess that's a BMW for you. It's nice having power on the highway for hills and passing, but the gas mileage would be a lot better if that was 2,000rpm. My Jeep SRT8 turns 3200rpm at 80, and that gets old. The tall gearing and close...

Re: Let's see your guns!
I thought gun laws were supposed to not make sense. I always thought it was funny that my brother could buy an AR15 at 19 but had to have my mom buy his Glock. I was going to 'swing by' Canada on my move across country but didn't because of the whole restricted handgun issue. Gun laws are reactiona...

Re: Let's see your guns!
No pictures really yet but all I have is a Beretta 92FS. Also, tonight I just ordered one of these: http://www.coltsmfg.com/Catalog/ColtRifles/ColtLE6920Series.aspx Main reason I went with these in particular is for practice for my job. That said, I do plan on picking up something else for CCW soon.
