Actually I read somewhere that the "GM drag ecotecs" are running with "buildt" automatics and they are holding quite well. Cant remember the model tho. :( A good point for the automatics is that you can press the brake while accelerating in the tree and will build bust right out ...

Im willing to help, I just acquire a 2m6 to fix my GT. I will have some left over parts if need them. THe reality is that if will be done we have to come with a good plan in terms of what engine to swap. Obviously needs to be cheap and powerful. So I vote for a boosted 3800 or ecotec, 4 speed 4.10 t...

I believe a wide band cant be used with the ecm. So, if I take the car to a dynoshop for tuning and they use and external wide band sensor for tune, then after the tune is completed it should work right even with the narrow band?

Still need the ecm #

I dont have any ecm codes or problems so far. The only "issue" is that if I floor the car I see the A/F gauge going way rich, I beleive shold be optimal to just reach the "fist rich led" in the gauge. I have a lot of mods that perhaps throw out the mix, maybe is the fuel system u...

My bro told me about this product, is a Chip emulator. http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?products_id=57 It acts like a live chip enabling all the ecm capabilities to real time like a stand alone. It cuts the tunning time alot, like stand alones and piggy backs. Does some one has use it? I asked...

Well, I tried this weekend and no luck. I used the 2 transistor ALDL cable and no data flowed to the pc. Used freescan, winaldl, and other 2 softwares.

I beleive I need the max232 cable type. Can sone one verify this?

Any help will be appreciated.

Using slow mem in a faster bus will cause luckup due the stress the memory will recive. I dont recomend that, but it may work, depends on how big is the diference. In the other hand faster memory will do just fine in a slower mobo. Its like driving a Fiero in traffic err... I mean a Ferrari in traff...

Also I noticed that your modem have firewall. If you had the default password on perhaps some kid changed your DNS port filter to not allow DNS traffic over. That will hold any port 53 request outside your firewall.

Still having problems?? If so try this, download the latest drivers for your NIC. Then delete the adapter, restart the pc. When the hardware wizard ask you for the drivers select the ones you downloaded. Then try browsing again. The DNS is registering fine over the lease the problem is on the client...
