Fiberglass Mods for the Fiero from Dietmar

Post by Fiero1Fan »

I am selling the fiberglass pieces made by Dietmar here in Germany.
Here is a picture of the things he offers. A f355 front fascia, f348 front fascia, f360 rear fascia, side scoops, skirts and tail-light panels.
Image

The f355 installed (Kolja Platins beautiful 87GT).
Image

The f348 front fascia (the cap spoiler on the bottom of the nose is extra) and both scoops and skirts (Dietmars own car).
Image

The f360 installed with large side vents and the rear light panel.
Image

Another pic of the scoops and skirts (this is Jack Cookes car).
Image

Another pic of the rear light panel.
Image

Here is a project that Dietmar is now working on and it should be done sometime this summer (a f360 front fascia). This is only a photoshop pic. The final out come may be a little different.

The shipping has always been the problem because of the size. the shipping box messures 72"x32"x20". The only way I have found to ship them for less than $1300 per box is by sea container. The container holds 24 boxes at one time and lowers the costs to just under $500 per box. I am still looking and hoping to find a cheaper alternative.

I like the side scoops and little scoop on the side GFX on the red and gold car. I really like how the side scoop carry's on from the top of the GT ground effects line.

On the gold Fiero you'll notice that he is also using the turbo window scoops from the Fiero store. The 3 pieces all together have a very beautiful curve that really looks good on the Fiero.
On my 88 I'll also be using the door and front fender rockers from the Stage 2 scoops that will give me a small drop towards the lower curve of front f355 nose that I'll be using.

It is a photoshop picture. It was made to just get an idea of how it could look. I don't have a picture yet of the real nose until Dietmar gets one made later this summer. I should have stated earlier that it is a photoshop pic. Sorry about that.

The picture I used for the photoshop was directly from a f360 Modena and it has that kind of grill in it. This is the pic and it came from the Ferrari home page.

Could be my crappy monitor, but it's at maximum brightness..... The dark pic looks like the "mouth" disappears, i.e. is really curved in. Where as the light pic looks like it's just flat and not curved in. If that makes any sense at all...

...or... try darkening your monitor. :la:

who said anything about sailing? You paddle a raft. Or drift, whichever you prefer.

On topic, nice stuff indeed but shipping costs will keep most fiero owners away.

That is very true. That is why I keep looking and hoping to find a better way to ship.

Can't ship the finished molds to the US and have someone else make the parts?

If you spent years perfecting your work would you just give up your molds?

Give up? Heck no. Just ship them to a friend in the 'States and have them make the parts and keep some of the profits and send the rest back. The extra sales would likely make up for the drop in profit from each part..
