Who actually has a running car?

Post by Identity Crisis »

So who here actually has a car on the road and drivable?
I mean I see a lot of threads on several sites of build ups and people doing this and that to their Fiero but I am just curious if most of the members just have a garage ornament? Or does it actually drive and move etc etc?

I have gone through 4 Fieros in my garage in the last two years myself. I am now stripping down #2 my 87 GT for parts for my 86GT project (which runs and rives, lol at the moment).

Mine is registered, running, and drivable. I even take it to work occasionally, but most of its miles are at the track.

My LS4/F40 Fiero is a summer daily driver, plated, and insured, and racks up 90+ miles per day when I drive it to work (like I did every day last week).

However, yesterday I pulled it into the garage and pulled the instrument cluster, dash and center console out so I can fix a few small things. So it isn't drivable at the moment, but wont stay that way for long.

I also have another 88 GT clone with 2.5/125C that just needs the water pump installed... but it has been a yard ornament at my brothers place for 6+ months...

Mine's registered and insured, but I don't drive it much due to the oil consumption. I should be able to fix that over the winter, though.

All 3 of mine start run and drive. None of them are currently registered. I drive them around the parking lot periodically to keep them moving.

I forgot to mention I swap DD duties between an '88 Formula 5 speed and an '87 325iX 5 speed.

My hot rod mentioned above is an '87 GT with NorthStar

My fd is running after 2 years at a buddys place. Been so busy with new kid, new job and new house that it's been on the back burner. Going to pick it up soon though.

Nice! I still want an FD to compliment my RX-8. I've also been checking out FC turboII's. I can't get enough rotaries.
